教材分析 B部分共四页,分两课时。第一课时仍然呈现情景对话和练习。Miss White 带着孩子们观察大象,孩子们开始描述它具有的具体特征。在此过程中呈现三会词汇:long, short, big, small,两会单词children, tail,以及描述动物具体特征的句式:It has a short tail. It has small eyes and big ears. Make a monster是个游戏活动。学生两人一组,利用身体部位卡片来拼图。一人说特征,一人找图卡,拼出对方描述的怪物。以此来操练重点句式:It has... 第二课时以孩子们描述鸵鸟的特征来呈现三会词汇:short, long, big, small, 以及重点句式:It has a small head. 并通过一个TPR动作反应活动Let’s do,来练习这些重点词汇。之后的阅读练习、听一听判断正误、看一看、连一连的练习以及歌曲都用来巩固练习本课的重点词汇及句型,与C部分合为一个课时。C部分的故事中,Zoom和Zip比赛看谁认识的动物多。在比赛的过程中以简笔画的形式呈现了八种动物,这八种动物两两分组,各有相似。故事中只是呈现了动物的名称,在教学中可以引导学生描述它们的特征来区分这些动物。本单元以动物为线索来学习形容词,可以适当渗透保护动物的意识和知识。同时,引导学生将这些形容用在其他物品或人物上,与之前学习的家庭成员类的知识相结合,拓宽他们的表达,提高他们的语言运用能力。

导入新课 Teacher plays a short video. Teacher presents some pictures of animals and requires students to describe the animals. Watch a short video and sing a song about animals. Look and choose the right words to complete the description. 以与单元重点内容为主题安排一个活动热身,在复习了学过的知识的同时,营造了良好的学习氛围。
讲授新课 Teacher presents the activities one by one and leads students to finish them correctly. Teacher plays another short video and requires students to watch and fill in the blanks. Teacher shows the picture from Story time and gives students a question.Teacher plays the short video for students to watch. Read the sentences and match them with the animals. Then students listen to the record and tick the animals. Next, students look at the animals carefully and match the description words with them. Watch the short video and learn to sing the song. Look at the picture and find out what animals they see in it. Then learn to know more animals from the story. Next read the story after the record. Watch the short video and understand the whole story. 通过以上活动复习本单元重难点知识点。 故事中的动物进行综合展示,给学生提供了真实的学习情景,通过跟读帮助学生提高他们的口语表达能力。先让学生认真观察图片,并整理所观察到的信息,之后再进行单词与图片的匹配活动。检验学生能够认读重点单词,并正确理解单词的含义。同时,让学生将重点词汇放在句子中去,检验其重点句式的表达。
课堂练习 Teacher gives students some time to finish the exercises. Finish the exercises by themselves. 检测当堂所学内容。
课堂小结 这节课教师运用图片来帮助学生复习已学过的动物名称,在比较中认识动物的特征,从而引出本课的故事教学,让学生在朗读中了解故事内容,在朗读中纠正自己的语音、语调,这样使学生学到了生活中没有接触到的知识,大大开阔了学生的视野,真正体现了知识源于生活,知识服务于生活的理念。
