一．教学背景
本课体裁：写作课
课文来源：2019外研社版英语必修教材第二册第二单元课文 The Real Father Christmas(真正的圣诞老人)。
课文体裁：书评
课文内容：本文讲述英国作家托尔金连续二十年给儿子们以圣诞老人的口吻给孩子写信会汇集成书，简明扼要地介绍了本书的背景，内容，特点以及评价。
教学思路：本文体裁为书评。根据新课改以及体现英语学科素养的目标指引下，本节课并不是传统的阅读课，而是写作课，把课文作为教学载体，进行分析书评写作的架构与方法，引领学生学会书评写作方法BMW，随后创设情境（英语社团读书活动为背景），引导学生书写抖音文案。
二． 教学目标
根据新课改目标，并体现英语学科素养教学目标有以下三条
a. 提升学生阅读能力，了解文章内容。
b. 引领学生学习并掌握书评写作方法并付诸实践。
c. 提高学生对英语学习和读书兴趣，产生爱国情怀。
三． 教学重点
引领学生学会书评写作方法。
教学难点
引领学生以课文为载体分析总结归纳书评写作方法。
教学过程
导入
由圣诞节话题导入，播放视频，引入一个不寻常的圣诞节以及引入作者。
进行作者背景介绍以及课文背景介绍，交代课文体裁（书评）引领学生走入课文。
设计目的：激起学生学习兴趣并使学生了解内容及教学目的。
阅读与发现
学生自行阅读1.2段找出信息，教师引领学生总结书评写作方法Background背景, 并提出重点关注点。
b. 阅读3.4段，小组讨论找出信息，教师引领学生总结书评写作方法Mind思想, 并提出重点关注点。
c. 呈现本书节选，学生自行阅读，体会欣赏原书籍并分享感悟，用以引出课文最后一部分，即评论部分。
有趣的节选欣赏： My dear boys, I am more shaky than usual this year. The North Polar Bear’s fault! It was the biggest bang in the world, and the biggest firework there ever has been. It turned the North Pole BLACK and shook all the stars out of place, broke the moon into four—and the Man in it fell into my back garden. He ate quite a lot of my Christmas chocolates before he said he felt better and climbed back to mend it and get the stars tidy… 亲爱的孩子们，我（圣诞老人）今年比以前哆嗦得更严重了，都是那北极熊的错！那可是世界上最大的一次爆炸啊！最大的一次烟花！这架势把整个北极都给炸黑了，把星星都给炸乱了，月亮都给炸成了四瓣！结果住在月亮里的人都掉在我后花园了。他吃了好多好多巧克力才好点，然后才爬回去修补了月亮，整理好了星星。
d. 学生阅读第5段，找出相关信息，教师引领学生总结写作方法Worth价值,并提出重点关注点。
e. 教师带领学生总结书评写作方法BMW（Background,Mind,Worth），并在黑板画出汽车图形，以便学生记忆。
设计目的：在分段阅读的同时引领学生发现捕捉信息，从而总结归纳，学习书评写作方法。
实践
创设情境：本溪市第一中学sunshine英语社团举办读书分享活动。引领学生为此准备抖音文案，制作抖音。教师呈现《小王子》《哈利波特》《傲慢与偏见》《鲁滨逊漂流记》等书籍图片，学生自行分组讨论并准备文案。
设计目的：在贴近生活的情境下，引领学生把本节课知识学以致用。小组讨论以更全面准确地呈现结果。
展示
学生展示抖音文案，教师给予评价。
设计目的：鼓励学生展现本节课成果，培养学生口语表达能力，提升学生表现能力。
总结
教师播放视频，强调读书重要性，期待学生为自己读书，为国家读书，为人类未来而读书。
设计目的：情感升华，呈现读书重要性，引起学生共鸣。
6. 作业
以李华的身份向他人介绍最喜爱的书籍。
设计目的：贴近高考，讲所学知识学以致用。
