本模块第二单元的主要表达第三人称单数过去能做的事情,初步掌握动词is, are, run, jump, play, swim.的过去形式was, were, ran, jumped, played, swam.其主要句型是:In the past, he ran very fast. He jumped high and swam very fast. The elephant played basketball really well.
2.学情分析
五年级的学生已具备基础的听说读写能力,并具有极强的表现欲,建议学生为主体,由学生结合肢体语言,呈现新知,操练句型。
3.教学目标
能理解really的用法并会用它造句。 能掌握单词run, play, jump, swim的过去形式是ran, played, jumped, swam.
4.教学重难点
重点:运用一般过去时态描述他人过去能做的事情。 难点:能够描述他人过去能做的事情并书写句子。

Step1 Pre-reading Warm-up Greetings. Review last lesson. Say the chant: what can you do 通过师生问候,拉近师生间的距离,营造良好的英语学习氛围;激发学生对英语课堂的兴趣。复习巩固上节课所学知识。
Step2 While- reading Presentation 理解In the past Listen and fill in blank. In the past, I (play)basketball very well. I (swim)very fast when I was 9 years old. In the past, my grandpa (run)very fast. In the past, my grandma (jump)really high. 学习动词的过去式 play-played swim-swam run-ran jump-jumped walk-walked live-lived study-studied eat-ate Listen and read. Listen and answer the questions . Q1: Did Amy’s grandpa run fast Q2:Did he jump high Q3:Did he swim very fast in the past Ask students and check the answers. 通过练习、操练学生已经学会描述某人过去能做的事情。回答与反复询问,巩固知识,也新授了Did he/she do sth in the past 及其回答。
