Do you know these numbers
Qomolangma runs along the border between China and Nepal [ni p l]. It is covered with snow all the year round. It’s 8844.43 meters high, the highest in the world. It’s 26 kilometers long.
The Sahara is the biggest desert in the world. It is located in the northern Africa. Its climate conditions are very bad and is very hot. The temperature is 55℃ in the day so it is one of the earth’s most unsuitable for biological survival.
The Caspian Sea (里海) is the biggest inland lake in the world. The max depth is 1,025m (in the southern part). It lies in the border between Asia and Europe. We call it sea, but in fact it’s a salt lake.
Water around runs into it with salt day after day and years after year. So it’s very salty.
The Nile is the longest river in the world. It’s more than 6,600 kilometers long. It runs through 9 countries. It’s one of the largest river flowing through the international states in the world and runs into the Mediterranean [ medit reinj n] Sea (地中海) in the end. Most part of the river is in Egypt(埃及) [ i d ipt]. So you can watch the pyramids [ pir midz] when sailing on the river.
