本课时涉及的内容是语言知识运用,包括-ing as attributive,Planning a trip & Visiting a new place 三部分。-ing as attributive部分讲解-ing作定语的用法及练习;Planning a trip部分通过制定旅行计划和做好旅行前的准备工作,引导学生学习与旅行准备工作相关的词汇和表达;Visiting a new place部分为宾馆前台与游客间的段对话,引导学生学习如何描述位置、问路以及指路。
课时目标:

(1)掌握-ing作定语的用法。
(2)掌握并记忆本课时的重点词汇 route, aboard, budget, chain, transfer, luggage, engage的用法,并能在真实语境中灵活运用。

(2)通过了解旅游计划和参观新地方,加深对课本节选内容的理解,扩大知识面。

(1)通过制定旅游计划、参观新地方,让学生养成做事之前提前做准备的习惯。
(2)通过参观新地方,让学生领略旅游的益处。
(3)通过旅游,了解祖国和世界各地的美丽风光,扩大视野。

2.上网查找-ing作定语的用法,并列举例句。
3.预习课本P53~55的内容,找出该部分的新词汇,并根据上下文猜测其含义。
教学过程:
Step I -ing as attributive
1.Do Activity 1 on Page 53 of the textbook.
(1)Give enough examples of the usages of -ing as attributive.
(2)Guide students to sum up the usages of -ing as attributive.
(3)Ask students to give examples which they seared from the internet.
2.Finish Activity 2 on Page 53.
Rewrite the underlined words using the -ing form.

3.Finish Activity 3 on Page 53.
Rewrite the advertisement using the -ing form to make it more compact and coherent.

Read the emails on Page 54, and underline the tasks Andrew and Matt have to do before going on a trip
