课时内容:
Developing ideas包括两部分:第一部分是一封电子邮件,主要讲述了Eva向Amy介绍她和家人的一次穿越北美大陆之旅。文章简要描述了沿途的风光和风土人情,并记述了旅游途中的趣事。第二部分 Writing a postcard是关于明信片的写法,包括问候语、主体、结束语、署名以及接收人的姓名和地址等。
Presenting ideas部分要求学生先看图标,判断图标代表的中国城市以及体现的地方特色。然后学生自主选择个城市,设计能够体现该城市特色的图标,并向他人介绍该城市的著名景点。
课时目标:

(2)掌握并记忆本课时的重点词汇 continent, vehicle, mass, make it, pick up, with the help of和强调句型的用法。

1.Fast reading
Scan the passage on Page 57 and write the places on the map.

2.Careful reading
Read the passage again and try to retell it in your own words according to the main clues below.
Main clues:

【设计意图】通过设置该部分复述的线素提示,让学生复述文章,学会抓住主线,去掉细枝末节,陈述主要内容,进一步提高阅读理解、口头复述的能力和水平。

4.Post-reading
(1)Do Activity 3 on Page 5.
Find out what the underlined words refer to.
