读后续写专题 润色文采 完美亮卷
读后续写多以记叙文故事类文章或者夹叙夹议类文章为主,故事情节有曲折、有起伏,但故事线索的逻辑性比较强。因为该题型具有一定的开放性,不仅要发挥想象力、创造性思维构思情节,注意行文通顺与连贯、过渡与衔接等,还要对文章进行润色,尝试使用高级词汇和复杂句式,运用修辞手法,以增加文章的亮点。
一、词汇
1.注意区分同义词、近义词的细微差异。
a little boy小男孩(侧重年龄小) a small boy小男孩(侧重体型小)
rest room 厕所(不是休息室)What a shame! 多可惜,真遗憾!(不是真可耻)
2.恰当使用限定词
用词准确,从另一个角度来讲就是要使论述客观、适度,这就需要考生适当使用一些限定词,以避免观点的绝对化,从而提高说服力和可信度;或根据需要加以强调,增强感染力。
He is the top student in our class.
→He is one of the top students in our class.
He is the teacher who knows French in our school.
→He is the only one of the teachers who knows French in our school.
3.使用较正式的书面语,避开口语化的表达。
This is the best hotel you can find here.
You can't find a better hotel here.或Nowhere else can you find a better hotel.
二、句式
1.恰当运用连词和句型,变简单句为并列句或复合句。
Natural resources are very limited.They will be exhausted in the near future.It is not true.But it becomes a major concern around the world.This is a widely accepted fact.
→It is a widely accepted fact that there is a major concern around the world for the exhaustion of limited natural resources in the near future,though it is unlikely to be true.
2.借用关键词汇(介词,不定式等)压缩句子长度,提升句子品位。
The flat has an area of 25 square metres and there is a bedroom,a bathroom,and a kitchen in it.
The flat has an area of 25 square metres with a bedroom,a bathroom and a kitchen.
3.转换语态,主动变被动。
Someone saw him studying hard in his study.
→He was seen studying hard in his study.
4.运用倒装,调整语序。
The scholar didn't write a single paper the whole term.
→Not a single paper did the scholar write the whole term.
The rain came down and the umbrellas went up.
→Down came the rain and up went the umbrellas.
5.巧妙强调,增强震撼力。
He didn't realize his mistake until the whole case came to light.
→It was not until the whole case came to light that he realized his mistake.
You must write to me when you get there.
→Do remember to write to me when you get there.
6.感叹、省略,精炼有力。
Time flies like an arrow.
→How time flies!
Look out for cars when you are crossing the street.
→Look out for cars when crossing the street.
7.虚拟语气,娓娓道来。
You didn't take my advice,so you failed in the exam.
→If you had taken my advice,you wouldn't have failed in the exam.
8.非谓语动词,提升品位。
They sang and laughed as they went back to school.
→Singing and laughing,they went back to school.
9.运用插入语,活泼跳脱。
I think the book is well worth reading.
→The book,in my opinion,is well worth reading.
10.格言警句,入情入理。
(1)Where there is a will, there is a way.有志者事竟成。
(2)No pains, no gains.没有付出就没有收获。
(3)Constant dripping wears away a stone.水滴石穿,绳锯木断。
(4)Care and diligence bring luck.谨慎和勤奋才能抓住机遇。
(5)Genius is nothing but labor and diligence.天才不过是勤奋而已。
(6)Great hopes make great man.伟大的抱负造就伟大的人物。
(7)Industry is the parent of success.勤奋是成功之母。
(8)No rose without a thorn.没有不带刺的玫瑰。
(9)There is no royal road to learning.书山有路勤为径,学海无涯苦作舟。
(10) Success belongs to the persevering.坚持就是胜利。
三、修辞手法
1.比喻(like, as, as...as, as if, of, compared to, be similar to等)
The scenery along the journey is just like a breath-taking landscape painting.
沿路的风景就像一幅美丽的山水画卷。
The smile on her face was as vibrant as the sun on a summer day.
她脸上的笑容和夏天的太阳一样充满活力。
Her hair grew greyer and greyer, as if (it were) covered with snow and frost.

2.拟人
Fear seized/swallowed him.

3.夸张

I almost laughed my head off.
我都快笑死了。
正是这些语言能力的充分体现,词汇句法的准确与复杂程度,细节描写的生动性,让故事更加立体饱满。考生在写作练习中要多次修改,精益求精,使得续写段落在各个语言层次的表达风格上和原文保持一致,达到水乳交融的效果。多积累、勤练习,定会收到满意的效果。

“I'm going to miss you so much, Poppy,” said the tall, thin teenager. He bent down to hug his old friend goodbye. He stood up, hugged his parents, and smiled, trying not to let his emotions(情绪) get the better of him.
His parents were not quite able to keep theirs under control. They had driven their son several hours out of town to the university where he would soon be living and studying. It was time to say goodbye for now at least. The family hugged and smiled through misty eyes and then laughed.
The boy lifted the last bag onto his shoulder, and flashed a bright smile. “I guess this is it,” he said. “I'll see you back home in a month, okay ” His parents nodded, and they watched as he walked out of sight into the crowds of hundreds of students and parents. The boy's mother turned to the dog, “Okay, Poppy, time to go back home.”
The house seemed quiet as a tomb without the boy living there. All that week, Poppy didn't seem interested in her dinner, her favorite toy, or even in her daily walk. Her owners were sad too, but they knew their son would be back to visit. Poppy didn't.
They offered the dog some of her favorite peanut butter treats. They even let her sit on the sofa, but the old girl just wasn't her usual cheerful self. Her owners started to get worried. “What should we do to cheer Poppy up” asked Dad. “We've tried everything.”
“I have an idea, but it might be a little crazy,” smiled Mom. “Without anybody left in the house but us, this place could use a bit of fun. Let's get a little dog for Poppy.”
It didn't take long before they walked through the front door carrying a big box. Poppy welcomed them home as usual, but when she saw the box, she stopped. She put her nose on it. Her tail began wagging(摆动)ever so slowly, then faster as she caught the smell.
