单元主题 PEP英语五年级上册第四单元What can you do归属于“人与社会”和“人与自我”范畴中的“运动、文娱”等活动。主题是“自信乐观,悦纳自我,接纳他人”。话题是文娱活动,通过张鹏和Miss White,John和李老师之间的对话情景呈现本单元的核心句型和词汇。学生在第二单元的学习中已经感知play football,play the pipa,play ping-pong等动词短语,在此基础上继续学习与活动相关的词汇和表达方法,在开展活动的过程中,展现自我特长,了解他人亮点,传承民族文化,树立正确的与他人交友观念,从而实现学科育人价值。
单元解读 单元教学内容及分析 《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》提倡广大英语教师从碎片表层化教学转向素养立意、主题引领的整合性深度教学;在课时量占比减少的情况下,教师在教学中要创造性地使用教材,从单一语篇教学走向单元整体教学。《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》明确指出:推动实施单元整体教学,形成具有整合性、关联性、发展性的单元育人蓝图。 在课标的指引下,根据教材提供的文本知识及功能,结合我们的学生的实际认知和教学环境,我们把教材进行了整合和扩充,重新安排课时,将本单元分为5个场景来完成: 场景一---聚会上的才艺秀。学校下周二将举办的一个英语派对,张鹏和他的朋友来参加英语派对,通过他们在派对上展示自己的才艺来学习本单元A部分sing English songs,play the pipa,do kung fu,draw cartoons及核心句型What can you do I can...学生们在观看才艺秀过程中听说读写五个单词短语,基本掌握核心句型。教学中教师时刻渗透学生积极参加文娱活动理念,学生在教师创设的情境中感受中国传统文化之美。 场景二---运动会派对。张鹏和他的朋友参加运动会派对,在运动会派对上,互相询问对方是否会某种技能并回答,从而学习B部分的词汇swim,speak English,cook,play basketball,play ping-pong及核心句型Can you .... Yes ,I can./No,I can’t.教师在教学中时刻引导学生学会欣赏赞扬他人的亮点,同时也引导学生当别人遇到困难时要学会帮助他人,进而传播中国的传统美德。 场景三---聚会结交新朋友。内容是Part B Read and write .张鹏和Robin在英语派对上结交新朋友来展开学习。通过Robin介绍自己会很多技能来复习第一、二课时的单词及核心句型,如I can speak English.I can speak English.I can do kung fu.I can play ping-pong等,但是他不会游泳。通过学习让学生明白每个人都有闪光点,但也有不足,我们要学会客观认识自己但也要学会接纳他人。 场景四---聚会如歌。通过张鹏和他的朋友参加英语派对,在英语派对上感受英语派对活动的趣味性,进而学习Part A 00字母组合的发音。 场景五---聚会中的故事。学习Part B Let’s check和C部分故事。通过小田鼠运用自己会的技能成功地摆脱被蛇吃,成功地脱险,进而强化A,B两部分所学的知识。
单元学情分析 《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》指出:教师的教学设计要符合学生的年龄和心理特点,要遵循语言学习的规律。根据不同的学情,教师应根据学生已有的知识和语言基础,用旧知带动新知学习,降低学习难度。 本单元教学对象是五年级学生,经过两年的英语学习和积累,学生已经掌握一定量的词汇:三年级上册他们已接触生日派对的一些词句及语篇,四年级下册已学过句型I can..因此,在学习本课内容前,学生已经掌握can情态动词,已初步了解描述文娱活动的相关词汇和动词短语,在一定程度上降低了本单元的学习难度,教师可激活学生的旧知识进入本单元学习。

单元教学目标 一、语言能力 1.能够听、说、读、写单词和词组:dance,sing English songs,do kung fu,play the pipa,draw cartoons,swim,speak English,cook,play basketball,play ping-pong. 2.能够在情景中运用句型what can you do I can...Can you ... Yes,I can./No, I can’t.询问某人能否做某事并作答 3.能够听、说、读、写句型what can you do I can...Can you ... Yes,I can./No, I can’t. 4.能够掌握字母组合oo的发音规则,即oo在单词中常见的两种发音:/υ/和/u:/ 二、学习能力 在本单元进行文娱活动的学习活动中,培养学生的自主合作能力和探究能力。   三、文化品格 能够积极参与文娱活动,丰富课余生活。能够了解琵琶、武术、乒乓球等有中国特色的文娱活动,努力学习,传承特色文化。 四、思维品质 学生能够结合文娱活动情景,理解并运用核心句型和单词,会发现自己的特长及调查他人亮点,培养学生学会全面认识自我的品质。

课 时 设 计 课 时 解 读 课时教学内容 本课时是单元第一课时。按照单元整体教学理念整合单元语境,通过单元统一语境的构建,最终形成语用。教学内容是围绕学校举办英语派对活动,张鹏和他的朋友在派对活动上的才艺秀主题而设计,教学围绕统一语境An English Party展开“sing English songs,do some kung fu,dance,play the pipa,draw cartoons”学习,来进一步深化句型What can you do I can....使学生基本学会介绍自己能做什么以及询问别人能做什么。

2022年颁布的《义务教育英语课程标准》中关于“词汇”的二级要求包含:借助;使用正确的语音、语调朗读对话和短文;在语境中理解词汇的含义,在运用中逐步积累词汇;在语篇中理解常用简单句的基本结构和表意功能;简单介绍自己的兴趣爱好。老师在设计作业的时候结合地方实际给孩子们设计了两个层次的作业。
