Unit 6 Using language名师教学设计
课时内容:
本课时涉及的内容是语言知识运用,包括-ing and -ed as complement, Dealing with global warming & Environmental problems to be solved三部分,-ing and -ed as complement部分讲解-ing和-ed作补语的用法。Dealing with global warming部分介绍了几种应对全球变暖的措施和方法,包括:节约水资源、利用可再生能源、减少碳足迹、可循环利用的水瓶以及利用Led灯泡节省电能和减少温室效应的

课时目标:

(2)掌握并记忆本课时的重点词汇 devote presentation, reserve, establish, damage, affect, supply, adopt, reduce, release, permission, devote to, be damaged by的用法,并能在真实语境中灵活运用。

(1)学习-ing和-ed作补语的用法。
(2)通过了解节能减排的具体做法以及有待解决的环保问题,加深对课本节选内容的理解,扩大知识面。

通过了解全球变暖的危害、节能减排的做法、尚待解决的环境问题,提高学生的环保意识,号召学生从身边小事做起,尽自己一份力,为地球增添一份新绿,让环境更美好。

1.做好该部分内容的PPT和音频材料。
2.制作好有关环境问题以及解决措施的课件。

1.思考目前有哪些环境问题有待解决,可采取哪些措施来解决,并能用简短英语描述。
2.上网查找-ing和-ed作补语的用法,并列举例句。
3.预习课本P65~67的内容,找出该部分的新词汇,并根据上下文猜测其含义。
教学过程:
Step I -ing and-ed as complement
1.Do Activity 1 on Page 65 of the textbook.
(1) Look at the sentences from the reading passage answer the questions.
(2) Give enough examples of the usages of -ing and -ed as complement.
Guide students to sum up the usages of -ing and -ed as complement.
Then ask students to give examples which they seared from the Internet.
2. Finish Activity 2 & 3 on Page 65.
(1) Read the passage and choose the correct form of the verbs.

(2) Rewrite the underlined sentences in the interview, using the -ing and -ed forms to make it more compact and coherent.

Step II Dealing with global warming
1. Share what you know about the expressions on Page 66, Activity 4.

3. Do Activity 5 &. 6 on Page 66.
(1) Complete the brochure with the expressions in Activity 4.

(1) Listen to the lecture and choose the topics that are covered.
