◆ 原句再现

◆ 过去分词作定语
● 作前置定语:单个的过去分词作定语放在被修饰的名词前面
1. The broken vase has been thrown outside.
2. The injured workers are now being taken good care of in a hospital.
3. The damaged house is to be built next week.
4. The spoiled girl should be sent to the army to accept some training.
5. These destroyed buildings need to be rebuilt at once.
● 作后置定语:过去分词短语做定语时, 通常放在被修饰的名词之后, 它的作用相当于一个定语从句
a. I was instructed to carry out a plan supported by most people.
=I was instructed to carry out a plan which was supported
b. This will be the best novel of its kind ever written.
=This will be the best novel of its kind ever that has ever been written.
c. The building built last year is a teaching building now.
=The building that/which was built last year is a teaching building now.
d. The book written in English is very interesting.
=The book that/which was written in English is very interesting.
※ 让我悄悄告诉您:
① 不及物动词的过去分词做定语,只表示动作已完成,不表示被动

② 及物动词的过去分词做定语表示被动意义或已完成的被动动作
an honored guest

※ 温馨告知您:有些单个过去分词作定语时也可放在所修饰的名词
之后,但情况特殊
①表示特定含义, 如 left (剩余的), given (所给的), concerned (有关的)
等

②修饰代词时, 后置
1. He is one of those invited.
2. This article is one of these copied.
③前置和后置时意义不同

2. The method used is very efficient. (使用的)
◆ 过去分词作宾语补足语
过去分词作宾语补足语时表被动或完成意义,有时两者兼而有之。作宾语补足语的过去分词与宾语有逻辑上的动宾关系,即宾语是过去分词动作的承受者,常见以下几种情况
●用在使役动词 have, get, make ,leave, keep等加宾语之后
1.She raised her voice to make herself heard by the people in the hall.
2.The end of the story left me puzzled.
3. He spoke slowly to make himself understood.
4. please keep me informed of the latest progress.
5. She is proud of her long hair, so she doesn't want to have her hair cut.
6. My car broken down. I have to get it fixed.
●用在感官动词 see, hear, listen to, notice, look at, observe, watch, feel, find等加宾语之后
1. The manager was satisfied to see the plan carried out.
2. when I came in, I found a girl seated in the corner.
3. After passing all the tests, she felt a great weight took off
her mind.
4. We heard him punished yesterday.
5. They noticed these advertisements pulled down.
6. She felt her shoulder patted.
7. The boy observed the star blocked by the cloud.
●用在“意愿;命令”的动词,如 like, want, wish, order等加宾语之后, 相当于过去分词前省略了 to be
1.The father want his daughter taught the piano.
2.They are talking about the plan they wish carried out.
3.They don‘t like the problem discussed at the moment.
4.The boss ordered the work completed ahead of time.
●用在“with+宾语+过去分词”结构中
1. She usually works in her study with the door locked.
2. The murderer was brought in, with his hands tied behind.
3. With his money used up, he had to borrow.
4. He kept silent with his eyes focused on the wall.
