课时内容:
Developing ideas分为两部分:第一部分介绍了被誉为“英国辛德勒”的 Nicholas Winton爵士,他29岁时路过捷克,发现了一大批被纳粹扣留的犹太人儿童。他觉得必须马上解救这批儿童。于是他开始在各国当局间游走,希望能够有国家接收这些孩子。后来,他安排了9辆火车,救出了669名儿童。第二部分 Writing a biography介绍了中国第一位获得诺贝尔生理或医学奖的科学家屠呦呦。该部分按照时间顺序,将科学家屠呦呦的事迹陈列出来,要求学生以时间为线索写一篇人物传记。
Presenting ideas部分要求学生推荐一个“年度人物”,并陈述该人物的成就、个性品质以及推荐理由。
课时目标:
1.掌握并记忆本课时的重点单词aid, temporary, achievement, chief, major, treatment, obtain, further 以及短语 rise to one’s feet,并能熟练运用。
2.通过速读、跳读等阅读方式,快速获取文段的主要信息,培养学生分析问题和解决问题的能力。
3.通过阅读文章,了解 Nicholas Winton的事迹和高尚的品质。同时,学生应努力提高自己的道德素养,形成关爱他人、主动帮助他人的意识。

Ask students to give a talk in honour of Nicholas Winton in groups. First,describe the key actions of Nicholas Winton and sum up his personal qualities. Then ask them to organise their talk according to the steps given.
Step III Writing a biography
1.Read Tu Youyou’s CV and fill in the boxes with the corresponding information.
2.List Tu Youyou’s information and divide the information into three parts introduction,main body and conclusion.
3.Write a biography of Tu Youyou,using the expressions in the box.
4.Ask students to share their biography with the whole class.
Step IV Homework
