Unit 4 Developing ideas & Presenting ideas 名师教学设计
课时内容:
Developing ideas分为两部分:第一部分介绍了唐代画家韩干(约706年—783年)。他年少时曾为酒肆雇工,经王维资助,学画十余年而艺成,擅绘肖像、人物、鬼神、花竹,尤善画马。韩干改变只临摹不写生的方法,他经常到马厩观察马的习性和性格特征,找出马的动作规律,并记录在案。久而久之马的各种体貌,奔跑雄姿,千变万化的动态,作画之时自然而然就展现在纸上,所以人们都称赞韩干笔下的马是能跑动的马。第二部分 Writing about an artwork介绍了梵高的《向日葵》。《向日葵》是梵高所绘制的以插在瓶中的向日葵为主要内容的一系列油画作品。梵高通过该系列作品向世人表达了他对生命的理解及独特的精神世界。
Presenting ideas部分要求介绍、推荐一位当地的艺术家,包括艺术家的姓名、专长、代表作品、主要特色以及推荐原因。
课时目标:
1.掌握并记忆本课时的重点单词bare,dirt,sponsor,fond,mostly,shade以及短语 be fond of,be regarded as,not only...but also...,by accident,due to,whether...or…,sing high praise for。
2.通过速读、跳读等阅读方式,快速获取主要信息。
3.通过阅读唐代画家韩干以及他的绘画经历,解决该部分设置的问题,培养学生分析问题、解决问题的思维品质。
4.通过了解唐代画家韩干,培养学生刻苦学习,持之以恒的性格。

The teacher asks the students some questions:

3.Post-reading.

(1) Complete the diagram with information from the passage.
According to the key words in the diagram, find out the information from the passage and sum up the answer.
(2) Talk about the life and work of Han Gan.
Ask students to imagine they are a tour guide in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Use the information in Activity 3 to give the talk.
(3) Ask students to organise their talk in the order of time, and introduce Han Gan and his painting to their group members.
Step III Writing about an artwork
1.Read the museum introduction to the painting on Page 47 and answer the questions.
(1)What else do you know about Van Gogh’s sunflower paintings
(2)What do you think of this one?
2.Complete the boxes with the information in Activity 5
