课时内容
本课时涉及的部分是语言知识运用,包括语法“Past future—过去将来时”,First aid和 Amazing road trips三部分内容。
语法“Past future—过去将来时”讲解过去将来时的结构及其用法。
First aid部分介绍了对于胳膊骨折、中暑、切伤和蚊虫叮咬的急救措施。
Amazing road trips部分主要以听、说的方式介绍了318国道之旅。该路线是在中国华东、华中、西南地区的一条国道,起点为上海市黄浦区,终点为西藏自治区日喀则市聂拉木县樟木镇,全程5476千米,经过上海、江苏浙江、安徽、湖北、重庆、四川、西藏八个省份。在这条国道上川藏南线(318国道成都—拉萨段)是这条景观大道中最美、最精彩的一段。它的沿途风景千变万化,多姿多彩,行走其中,可以体验“隔山不同天,一天有四季”的奇妙感觉。
课时目标
1.掌握并记忆本课时的重点单词 unaware, guideline,bleeding, injury, stretch以及短语 break into, take ones temperature, be regarded as, take notes的用法,并学会在真实语境中灵活运用。
2.掌握过去将来时的结构及用法。
3.通过阅读有关急救知识、神奇的318国道之旅,学生能够加深对该部分内容的理解,扩大知识面。
4.探险是人类对自然知识的探索,也是对自我体能和智能的挑战,更是人类文明发达的内在动力。探险不是为了寻求刺激或年少冲动,而是为了寻求真理和实现生命的价值。

1.做好该部分内容的PPT和音频材料。
2.准备好有关急救的知识和318国道之旅的相关视频材料。
学生准备:
1.课前查找描写探险的不同词汇和写作方式,并能用简短的英语描述探险的影响和意义。
2.上网查找含有过去将来时的句子,体会其用法。
3.预习课本P53~55的内容,找出该部分的新词汇,并根据上下文猜测其含义。
教学过程:
Step I Grammar
Past future——过去将来时
【备注】语法知识点讲解详见第二教案“重点语法精讲”。
1.Do Activity 1 on Page 53 of the textbook.
2.Give enough examples of the usages of the past future.
(1)He asked me how soon I would get ready.
(2)She told me she would do with it later.
(3)I asked him if Peter would arrive the next.
(4)She told me she was going to post the parcel.
(5)We all knew we would have a hard time .
Guide students to sum up the usages of the past future. Then ask students to give examples which they searched from the Internet.
3.Finish Activity 2 & 3 on Page 53.
(1)Write the clauses in the correct order.

(2)Complete the captain’s memoir with the clauses.

Step Ⅱ First aid
1.Look at the items in the first aid kit and talk about what they are used for. Add anything else that you think would be useful.
2.Complete the first aid guidelines with the words and expressions in Activity 4.

3.Work in pairs.
Ask students to offer first aid advice for injuries or illness in Activity 5.Add any more they can think of.
Step Ⅲ Amazing road trips
1.Read “Did You know?” and learn about things about amazing road trips.
2.Do Activity 7&8 on Page 55.
(1)Listen to the interview and choose the words that best describe the speakers experiences.
(2)Listen again and complete the blog.
3.Do Activity 9 & 10 on Page 55.
(1)Act out the conversation to talk about the road trips across China.
(2)Think about a trip you have taken and have a similar conversation.
【设计意图】该部分基本按照课本的顺序设置学习内容,由浅入深,逐层加深难度,锻炼了学生读、听、写、说的能力。通过读“Did You know?”部分,了解318国道之旅,然后通过听录音,先解决浅层的理解,再记录听力的要点,完成 Activity 7和8。接下来是说的环节,通过语言输入的程序,学生头脑中对神奇、美妙之旅有了一般性认识,同时掌握了该部分常见词汇和句型,再仿照上述内容,做对话练习。整个环节内容不多,但设题科学、合理,遵循了语言的认知规律。

总结过去将来时的含义和用法,并注意该部分新学词汇的运用。
