本课是PEP小学英语五年级下册Unit 1第七课时。Story time呈现的是Zoom

教学过程
Step 1: Warm-up & Revision & Lead-in
Greetings.
Review&Lead-in
Play a song——My weekend. (课件出示:教材unit1的歌曲,包括其歌词。)
In order to let students review the key words and sentences which they have learned the other days.
Play a game——I say,you do.
The teacher say the phrases one by one and the students should do the right
action when they hear the orders. Such as do morning exercise, eat dinner, go for a walk, clean my room and so on.(课件出示:教材第5页Let’s learn的五个短语。)
Free talk
Review the sentence patterns“What do you do on the weekend?”“—I often/usually/sometimes/seldom ...”(课件出示:上述句型,并让学生在小组内自由问答。)
Step 2: Presentation
1.Present the photo of Zip and say“Zip is always very busy.”And let students have a guess what Zip do every day.(课件出示:Zip的一张照片。)
2.Write the question on the blackboard——“What does Zip usually do on the weekend?”And let students listen to the recording for the first time and answer the question. Besides,the teacher continues asking“How about this weekend?”
3.Present the fifth picture and ask students to find the key information.(课件出示:教材11页Story time的第五张图片。)
4. Fill in the following form.

5.Present the next question“What does Zip do from Monday to Friday?”.And ask students to read the whole passage for five minutes.

Play the cartoon of Story time for the first time. Through watching it,let students understand Zip’s daily life. And Teach students to learn some phrases“collect nuts,dry nuts and cut nuts”.
Play the recording of Story time for the second time and ask students to repeat it. And imitate the recording to have a show in front of the class. Students should pay attention to pronunciation and intonation.
Step 3: Practice
Work in groups
Read in groups and group leaders can help to check the situation of reading. The process need last for three minutes.
(Attention:If the problems are many,the group leaders can lead their members to read the story. Let students read after them or repeat.)
Class work
At first,teacher can act with some students as an example to help students understand the action. Then students can choose their partner to have a role play. One acts Zoom and the other one acts Zip. Then give a show in front of the whole class.
3. When some students present their show,the others can give an evaluation according to their performance. Finally the best groups can get a reward.
4. show the words what we have learned today and let students speak out them quickly. Have a guess who is faster and praise her/him.(课件出示:快速出现本节课所学的部分单词。让学生竞相读出单词并说出其汉语意思。)
Step 4: Consolidation & Extension
Retell
After school,students can retell the story which we have learned today to their parents and friends. And ask them whether understand the main idea.
Rewrite
According to something which we have learned,try to rewrite the story and give an ending of the story by using some sentence patterns in Unit 1.

教学反思
亮点:学生对故事感兴趣,学习积极性高,大部分学生能够读懂并表演故事。用完成表格的形式,对故事的发展脉络掌握得更清晰。
不足之处:故事的主题是Zip和Zoom的周末活动,缺乏联系实际进行对话练习。
教学建议:可以给学生留点时间,俩人一组进行对话练习,自由谈论周末活动,进一步复习巩固本单元所学的短语和句型。(共25张PPT)
