Unit 6 Developing ideas & Presenting ideas 名师教学设计
课时内容:
本课时涉及 Developing ideas和 Presenting ideas两部分。
Developing ideas分为两部分:第一部分以第一人称的笔触详细描写了飓风过后,一家人无处容身,最后获救,并搬到了一个遥远的地方安家。一年后重回家园,很多人已经搬回,大家一起重建家园,重温家乡的温情。本文从一个家庭的侧影,反映出人们飓风过后团结一致、重建家园的信心。第二部分 Writing safety guidelines介绍了如何在飓风中生存,旨在告诉学生一些救生知识,在灾难面前学会自保。
Presenting ideas部分要求学生介绍、展示灾难中充满希望的故事,培养面对困境仍保持乐观主义精神。
课时目标:
1.掌握本课时的重点单词 nowhere,otherwise,threat,property,sufficient,shelter,have yet to,all of a sudden,turn into,up and down,keep on doing,be surrounded by等
2.阅读自传体记叙文 Stars after the storm,解决该部分设置的问题,培养学生分析问题、解决问题的思维品质。
3.通过了解作者一家人飓风过后重返家园的故事,树立团结一致、重建家园的信心。

2. Make notes for flood safety guidelines based on the hurricane safety guidelines in Activity 5 on Page 71. Do further research if necessary.
Step IV Presenting ideas
1. Ask students to do some research online and find a story about hope in the face of plete the notes with information about their story.
2. Ask students to tell their story to the other students.
Step Ⅴ Homework
Review the language points learned in class.
