Developing ideas部分分为两部分:第一部分是一篇说明文,主要探讨了艺术和技术的问题。第二部分 Writing an invitation是一封艺术节的邀请函,文体和用词都很正式。
Presenting ideas部分展示了几种脑洞大开的艺术作品,旨在抛砖引玉,让学生列举更多的艺术作品并详细描述这些作品的灵感来源、创新背后的精神以及对我们生活的影响。
课时目标:
1.掌握本课时的重点单词 literally、distinct、Innovation和短语 light up、interact with、a variety of、rather than、lead to、be accessible to、queue up、be unfamiliar with、make out of、come across以及重要句型,并能熟练运用。
2.完成阅读任务和学习邀请函的写作后,学生能够运用所学内容为艺术展写一个邀请函。
3启动人工智能,探讨艺术创作的传承与革新。我们既要传承艺术作品的精华,又要能挑战一个时期人们的审美观念,并且创造出新的艺术作品,使其具有创新性和开拓性。

Step I Leading in
Watch the video and answer the following questions.

(1) Work in groups.
Hold a debate on whether technology has had a positive effect on art.
①Divide each group in half. Each half takes a Side in the debate.
②Do further research to find more arguments and supporting examples besides those in the passage.
③Organise your ideas from the most important to the least important.
④Hold the debate.
(2)Think about your performance in the debate. Vote for a group member who performs the best. Ask them to share their experience.
【设计意图】辩论赛的形式新颖,不仅能开阔学生思维,锻炼辩手的口头表达能力和统筹分析等能力,而且能够增强学生的自信心、提升团队协作能力。
Step Ⅲ Writing an invitation
Do Activities 5~7 on Page 47.
(1) Read the invitation to an art festival and answer the following questions.
·What is the topic of each paragraph
·Is the invitation written in formal or informal style
Give three examples.
Suggested answers: ·Para 1:time, place of the event Para 2:content of the event Para 3:ending of the invitation ·The invitation is written in formal style. First, it has an invitation card; second, the language is formal, like“…requests the honour of your presence at…”; third, it contains a specific date and address.
(2) Imagine you are helping to prepare an art festival in your school. Answer the following questions to help you write the invitation.
·What is the topic of the art festival
·When and where will it be held
·What artworks will be included
·What style will you use for the invitation
Before answering the questions, learn the tip with the students.
Now write your invitation.
(3)Work in pairs.Make improvements to each other’s invitations and share them with the class.
【设计意图】该部分通过范文展示、邀请函设计、要点提示、习作练习几个环节,引导学生逐步了解邀请函的要素、内容、常用语等的表达。在了解了实例展示的基础上,自己动手写一封邀请函,进一步锻炼和提升学生的写作能力。
