Lesson 10 The Great Wall教学设计
一、教材分析
本单元围绕着Jenny, Danny, Li Ming这三个小主人公在北京参观天安门、故宫、长城以及在北京购物等一系列有趣的生活情节展开,本单元引导学生学习关于北京名胜古迹的词汇和短语,学生要掌握基本的旅游词汇,能够讨论应该做和不应该做的事情。本课The Great Wall讲述了他们参观长城发生的事情。学生在学习的过程中,运用英语语言读懂文本,提高了阅读技能,体会到了语言学习的乐趣,增强了自信心和成就感。
二、学情分析
五年级学生心理比较成熟,语感基本形成,理解能力表达能力较强。所以本课应充分调动学生的积极性,发挥学生的潜能,发散学生的思维。
三、教学目标
1 .知识和技能目标
(1)学生能听懂、会说、认读并书写下列词汇:feel, tired, wait, afraid, stop
(2)学生能够掌握句型:--How long is it –About 6000 kilometers.
(3)学生能用所学语言介绍长城。
2. 情感态度目标:
(1)提高学生学习英语的兴趣,乐于阅读。
(2)增强学生的爱国意识,知道应该做和不应该做的事情。
3. 学习策略目标:
(1)通过评价反思,发展自我调控策略。
(2)养成听录音和跟读句子的习惯。
四、 教学重点、难点
1. 教学重点
(1)掌握本课的重点词汇和句型。
(2)学生能够用所学知识简单地介绍长城。
2. 教学难点
能够简单地介绍其他的名胜古迹。

六、教学步骤
Step 1 Warming up
1. Greetings.
S: Goodmorning, teacher!
T: Morning, everyone!
T: How are you today
S: I’m fine, thanks. And you
T: Fine. Thank you. Welcome to our English class.
2. Let's sing.
T: Before our class, let’s sing a song.(播放歌曲, 学生跟唱)
(设计意图:师生互相问候,拉近了师生距离,歌曲的播放,生动活泼,为新课的讲授创造一个愉悦的学习环境,调动了学生的积极性。)
Step 2 Review and leading-in
T: OK. First, let’s have a review of this unit. (幻灯片展示)In this unit, Jenny, Danny and Li Ming arrive in Beijing. The first stop, they go to Tian’anmen Square. What do you know about Tian’anmen Square
S1: Tian’anmen Square is very big.
T: Yes, very good. The next stop, they go to the Palace Museum. What do you know about the Palace Museum
S2: It’s red and yellow.
S3: It’s about 600 years old.
T: Yes. It has a long history. It’s beautiful. The third stop, where do they go (出示长城图片)
S: 长城。
T: Yes. Today we will learn Lesson 10 The Great Wall. (板书)
(设计意图:通过路线图对本单元的知识进行复习,让学生有一个清晰的思路,同时自然而然的引出本课内容)
Step 3 Presentation
Part 1 On the Great Wall
T: Now, let’s learn Part 1. Before we listen to the tape, I have three questions.
Number 1, how do they go to the Great Wall
Number 2, how old is the Great Wall (板书how old)我们以前学过的how old是什么意思?
S:多少岁。
T: Yes. How old 翻译成多少岁,对年龄进行提问。How old are you (对学生进行提问)
S4: I’m twelve years old.
S5: I’m thirteen years old.
T: 那么在我们这句话里, how old 也翻译成多少岁吗?就应该翻译成:长城有多少年的历史了?Number 3, how long is the Great Wall (板书how long)How long是什么意思?(加手势)
S: 多长。
T: Let’s make some sentences. 桌子有多长?
S: How long is the desk
T: 这本书有多长?
S: How long is the book
T: OK. Let’s listen to the tape. Then answer the questions.(播放Part 1)
T: How do they go to the Great Wall (找同学回答问题)
S6: They go to the Great Wall take a bus.
T: Good, sit down please. How old is the Great Wall
S7: It’s about 2000 years old.
T: That’s very old, right
S7: Yes.
T: OK. How long is the Great Wall
S8: About 6000 kilometers.
T: Now I’ll give you two minutes, practice the dialogue with your partners. Then you can come here.
T:Are you ready OK! It’s your show time.(找3~4组同学进行对话表演,并做适当评价)
(设计意图:通过表演的形式让学生对知识有一个更加深入的了解,同时增强了学生的小组协作能力,提高了他们的自信心)
Part 2 On the way back
1. Presentation of the new words
T: Look, here are some pictures. Let’s fill in the blanks together. a. How does the boy feel (教授新单词feel,并板书)What the meaning of this word
S: 感觉。
T: Yes. Please read after me. Feel! (教师领读,学生跟读)How does the boy feel?
S: 很累。
T: He feels tired.(教授新单词tired并领读。)b. The light is yellow. Please wait! (教师板书wait并领读,学生跟读,同样方式讲解新单词wait, afraid, stop.)Don’t go!(讲解祈使句型)
2. Listen and answer
T: Now we’ll learn Part 2. Please listen carefully and then answer the questions.(播放录音,找同学回答问题)
T: How does Danny feel on the way back
S9: He feels tired and hungry.
T: What does Danny see
S10: He sees a restaurant, many cars and buses.
T: Is Danny afraid of the cars and buses
S11: Yes, he is.
T: What can we learn from Danny
S12: 一定要遵守交通规则。
S13: 过马路的时候要看清交通灯,不能闯红灯。

八、课后反思
课后经过反思,我觉得该课的设计具有以下几个突出的特点:
1. 切实落实教学目标;
2. 对教材资源进行切合实际的开发和利用,通过拓展知识让学生们增长了许多见识;
3. 有效利用教学资源,努力给学生创造语言学习的环境,加强语言学习的意识;
4. 能够较好地调动学生的积极性,将课堂还给学生,老师做到了适时地进,勇敢地退。
