For Western designers,China and its rich culture have long been an inspiration for Western creative.
It's no secret that China has always been a source(来源)of inspiration for designers,"says Amanda Hill, chief creative officer a +E Networks,a global media company home to some of the biggest fashion(时尚)shows.
Earlier this year, the China Through A Looking Glass exhibition in New York exhibited 140 pieces of China-inspired fashionable clothing alongside Chinese works of art, with the aim of exploring the influence of Chinese aesthetics(美学)on Western fashion and how China has fueled the fashionable imagination for centuries. The exhibition had record attendance showing that there is huge interest in Chinese influences.
“China is impossible to overlook,”says Hill. “Chinese models are the faces of beauty and fashion campaigns that sell dreams to women all over the world, which means Chinese women are not just consumers of fashion--they are central to movement.” Of course, not only are today’s top Western designers being influenced by China-some of the best designers of contemporary fashion are themselves Chinese. “Vera Wang, Alexander Wang Jason Wu are taking on Galliano, Albaz, Marc Jacobs-and beating them hands down in design and sales,” adds Hill.
For Hill, it is impossible not to talk about China as the leading player when discussing fashion. "The most famous designers are Chinese. so are the models, and so are the consumers, she says. "China is no longer just another market; in many senses it has become the market If you talk about fashion today, you are talking about China--its influences its direction, its breathtaking clothes, and how young designers and models are finally acknowledging that in many ways.”

The 33-year-old Australian,Bradley,is actually a student of international relations completing his PhD at Griffith University. He came to Beijing for a cooperative research project at Peking University less than two years ago. Such an academic life was just added color with a chance offered by the cultural exchange project- “I'm in China”.
Bradley was lucky to win the most “likes” for his photo story about his life in China and became one of 20 winners to visit locations after the global recruitment(招募)by the project this summer. All the winners’ experiences were filmed to produce a reality show,My Chinese Working Day. The film crew took them to many “amazing sites” and the staff taught them a lot about how to incorporate modern Chinese characteristics while still keeping traditional customs. “I would have to say two things stick out as the most memorable the helicopter ride and talking with the staff at the hotel about how they organize weddings here in China,” he said. That was Bradley’s first time to be in a helicopter, and he was too absorbed in the awesome view of the beautiful coastline. I think it is so important to show other Australians the different landscapes China has to offer. I think so many Australians, when they think about China, imagine the historical sites of Beijing and the exciting things to see in Shanghai but have no idea about other beautiful places, like Sanya or the many other places people have been taken to in this TV series. said Bradley.

It invites foreign people worldwide to experience unique jobs and participate in activities that one can find nowhere else except in China.

Lao-tzu and Confucius were Chinas most famous philosophers. 1 “Those who know do not say;those who say do not know, said Lao-tzu Confucius said that the best people say the least, but do the most.
2 It comes from the story that he was born with white hair, already old and wise. Very little is known about Lao-tzu's life. His writings are titled the “Tao Te Ching”.
According to Taoism, the entire universe flows with a mysterious force called the Tao, which means “The Way”. 3 When people forget this, opinions of good and evil or true and false happen. Taoists try to remember their oneness however this is easier said than done. said Lao-tzu. Over time Taoism changed a bit. Taoism became more popular in AD440 when it became China's state religion. Many people practice Taoism today.
Born in 551 BC,Confucius wandered throughout China as a government employee and a political adviser. 4 After Confucius died in 479 BC, his students wrote down his teachings and called them Lun-yu,or The Analects. Many of his clever sayings are still followed today. “It is as hard to be poor without complaining as to be rich without becoming arrogant(傲慢的).”Confucianism says it is important to learn to be a human being. People should act with goodness towards each other to create order and unity. Confucianism guided thinking in China until about a hundred years ago.
