It’s always nice to have a little help around the house. But what if you could employ the assistance of one of the greatest minds of the 20th century?
That’s the idea behind a new robot modeled after Albert Einstein. Called Professor Einstein and standing at just over a foot tall, this personal assistant can tell you the weather and keep track of your schedule like any other robots. With built-in Wi-Fi the Einstein robot has access to brain games, and can answer math problems and science questions. With natural language and speech processing, you can actually interact with Professor Einstein. And because the robot is connected to the Internet,it is constantly updated with new information.
To help get the perfect replica(复制品)of Einstein, the Hong Kong-based tech company Hanson Robotics turned to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem the home of the albert Einstein archives(档案).”We worked very closely with them to brin the product co-marker,said the company’s Dr Jeanne Lim.
The Einstein robot was introduced to the public at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and was quickly hailed by those who saw it. “He became one of the breakout stars of the convention,” wrote Melia Robinson on business insider. “Crowds flooded into the company to have a look at the little guy.”
“Technology is often now very cold and socially isolating(孤立的),” explained David Hanson, the co-founder of the company behind the new robot, “ By bringing an lively character into our physical world,we’re humanizing(使人性化)the technology instead of dehumanizing the humans.”
As for Hanson Robotics, the company has been building human-size robots for over a decade. But this marks the company’s first commercially available product. Professor Einstein is just the start,” said Hanson. “We’re witnessing the arrival of conversational robots that can walk in our world. It’s a golden age of invention.”
4. what can the Einstein robot do
A. Teach you to learn any new language.
B. Have a regular conversation with you.
C. Design a number of science questions.
D. Keep track of other robots constantly.
5. Which of the following best explains “hailed” underlined in Paragraph 4
A. Broken.
B. Improved.
C. Ignored.
D. Praised.
6. what can be inferred from David Hanson’s words
A. He expects humans to be less isolated from robots.
B. He dreams of humanizing humans through invention.
C. He worries about a golden age for conversational robots.
D. He stays hopeful about the future of robot invention.
7. what can be a suitable title for the text

The Good and Bad of Online Communication
Our need to communicate with each other is a constant driving force for new inventions. Online services and products are where most development in communication is happening. Now there are increasing options for when, where and how to communicate, and perhaps most importantly with whom.
1 Nobody can see who they are or what they look like. Many people who are shy feel confident online. One user noted that everyone is equal online and this cannot be found in face-to-face meetings When you meet someone in person, you immediately make judgments based on appearance. 2 Online however, appearance, age and status all become unimportant, and this encourages users to be open and honest, which makes it a lot easier for people to make friends.
Apart from making friends online, the Internet can bring together like-minded people who want discuss favourite topics. There are forums and chat rooms for just about any hobby ability or unusual taste you can imagine.
3
Some people spend so much time on the Internet that they become totally dependent on it Psychologists and social scientists worry that if people spend more time with computers than with other people, they will forget how to get on with people face-to-face. Apart from dependency, there are other objections and worries about the Internet. 4 Being open and honest with complete strangers, then arranging to meet them without friends or family knowing about it is very dangerous behaviour. Even when the worst dangers do not happen, simple lies can leave people disappointed. Then there is the problem of information being stolen. The Internet has led to a new type of criminal, cyber-criminals, who could easily take your information and could even be using your identity and password.
5 Most users seem to think it is.
A. whenever or however you use the Internet hackers will be a constant threat.
B. With all these dangers, is going online to communicate really worthwhile
C. People love the freedom of the Internet.
D. However, going online also has a dark side.
E. Even a persons accent or the choice of shoes forms a certain impression.
F. Most users said that going online had improved their lives.
G. Not all people seeking relationships online have Innocent intentions.

A
The crew had almost a decade of experience, and yet the sub disappeared and broke into pieces on the sea floor.
With natural language and speech processing, you can actually interact with Professor Einstein.
根据最后一段中 “Professor Einstein is just the start,” said Hanson. “Were witnessing the arrival of conversational robots that can walk in our world. It’s a golden age of invention.”
文章第二段提到Professor Einstein这个私人助理可以帮忙做很多事情,如:tel you the weather, keep track of your schedule LA k you can actually interact with Professor Einstein。
Nobody can see who they are or what they look like.ill everyone is equal online可知没人知道他们是谁,长什么样,而且在网上每个人都是平等的。
2. E 根据前一句 when you meet someone in person, you immediately make judgments based on appearance.可知当你和某人见面时,你会立刻根据他的外表做出判断;选项E中Even表示语气加强,a person’s accent or the choice of shoes forms a certain impression是补充说明前一句中的make judgments based on appearance。
Apart from dependency, there are other objections and worries about the Internet.
Most users seem to think it is.
