【考点点拨】
名词的复数形式
一般情况下加-s,如book — books ;
以s、x、sh、ch等结尾的词加-es,如watch — watches ;
以辅音字母加y结尾的词,要改y为i,再加-es,如family — families
以“f”或“fe”结尾的词,改“f”或“fe”为“v”,再加-es, leaf— leaves
以o结尾的词,有生命的加-es, 无生命的加-s.
不规则变化单独记忆
指示代词及物主代词
用Is this/that…?发问的一般疑问句,无论问的是人还是物,都必须用Yes, it is.或No, it isn't.回答。
形容词性物主代词的用法:有名则形,无名则名。
一般疑问句
肯定否定回答中不能出现this, that, these, those等指示代词。
肯定和否定回答当am, is, are出现在句尾时,不能缩写,注意主谓一致。
What about... 句型
What about... 表示“......怎么样 ”相当于How about... ,用于征求对方看法或意见,询问情况或打听消息等。 about是介词,后跟名词、代词或动名词作宾语。
Thank you for...句型
Thank you for.=Thanks for. 意为“因......而感谢你”;for为介词,后接感谢的原因(名词、代词或动名词等)。该句型的常见答语为:You are welcome./That’s all right./My pleasure./It’s my pleasure./Not at all.等。
help的用法
作动词:
①help sb. (to) do sth.=help sb. with sth. 帮助某人做某事;
②can’t help doing sth. 情不自禁做某事;
③help oneself to... 随便吃/喝......
作不可数名词:
①with the help of sb.=with one’s help 在某人的帮助下
②ask sb. for help 向某人求助
ask的用法
①后接双宾语:ask sb. sth. 询问某人某事;
②后接动词不定式:ask sb. (not) to do sth. 要求某人(不要)做某事;
③与介词的搭配:ask sb. for sth.恳求某人给予某物;ask sb. about sth.询问某人关于某事
fun的用法
①fun作形容词时,意为“有趣的,使人快乐的”。
②fun作名词时,意为“乐趣,娱乐活动;嬉戏,嬉闹;有趣的事”。常用have fun =enjoy oneself玩得开心;have fun (in) doing sth.开心做某事;
play的用法
play作动词时,用法如下:
①玩:play+球类/棋牌类名词; 例:play basketball/play chess
play with sb./sth.与某人一起玩,玩某物。
②演奏:play+the+西洋乐器类名词;例:play the piano/guitar;
③play a part/role in sth. 参与,发挥作用;
play作名词时,意为“戏剧,剧本”;

Once there was a man traveling in a faraway village. As he was passing the elephants, he stopped at once. He found that these huge elephants were being held by only a small rope tied to their front legs. No chains, no cages. It was clear that the elephants could, at any time, break away from their ropes but for some reason, they did not.
He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and didn’t try to get away. “Well,” the trainer said, “when they were very young and much smaller, we used the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it was enough to hold them. As they grow up, they still believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can hold them, so they never try to break free.”
How could it be These animals could at any time break free from their ropes. But because they were always stuck right where they were, they believed they couldn’t.
