一、Pre-class

2、 While-class
教师活动:让学生浏览单词表从lantern到except for。然后完成课件上的练习。
活动目的:熟悉本课词汇,为接下来的阅读扫除障碍。
教师活动:让学生观察课文插图。学生先浏览文中的两幅插图,教师提出问题让学生思考:“What festivals are the two pictures about?How do you know?"。学生根据两幅图片中所呈现的情境、物品和文字等说出节日的英文名称以及判断的依据
学生活动:预测课文要点。学生根据文章标题以及文中插图推测本文作者可能会谈及的要点,教师可请个别学生发表自己的见解,并将所提及的要点列在黑板上

Festivals are an important part of society. They reflect people's wishes, beliefs, faiths and attitudes towards life. They are occasions that allow us to relax and enjoy life, and forget about our work for a little while. They help us understand where we came from, who we are, and what to appreciate.

During each Spring Festival, the happiest moment for my parents is when all the children and grandchildren come back home, chatting and preparing the big family dinner together.

On Mother's Day, my child's special gift hand-made with love and care is always my favourite.
