Object Clauses 宾语从句
1. 宾语从句的定义
在复合句中充当宾语的句子，称为宾语从句。一般位于及物动词、介词和复合谓语(be sure, be afraid, be sorry, be glad等)之后。
2.根据引导词的不同，宾语从句分为三类：
that引导的宾语从句；
whether/if引导的宾语从句；
疑问词引导的宾语从句。
that引导的宾语从句
当从句为陈述句时，引导词用that，that只起连接作用，不作句子成分，在口语或非正式文体中通常省略。
whether/if引导的宾语从句
当从句是一般疑问句或选择疑问句时，引导词用if/ whether，意为“是否”。
疑问词引导的宾语从句
当从句是特殊疑问句时，疑问词就是引导词。疑问代词what, who, whom, whose, which 在从句中可作主语、宾语、表语或定语等；疑问副词when, where, how, why 在从句中可作状语。

即使主句的谓语动词为过去时态，从句的谓语动词仍要保留一般现在时。
Attributive Clauses 定语从句
1.定语从句的定义
在复合句中，修饰某一名词或代词，起定语作用的句子称为定语从句。被定语从句修饰的名词或代词叫先行词，引导定语从句的词叫关系词。

3.定语从句引导词的省略

Mark Smith is a student at a vocational school — a school where people learn how to do many of the jobs that are needed in modern society.
“After I finished secondary school, my results showed that I was better at doing things than at reading books. I had to decide how I wanted to make a living in the future. I’m the sort of person who is good at making things with my hands. So I chose to go to vocational school.” Now, he learns how to repair machines.
