Step 2 Reading for Information Ss read the text and answer the questions: When and why did dinosaurs disappear according to the text (Natural disasters)What other possible reasons can you think of 略读文章,提取基本事实性信息,分析动物灭绝的原因之一。
Step 3Listening for Gist Ss predict the gist of the listening materials by viewing the picture of the dodo, then listen to the story, check the prediction and answer the questions:1.What is the story about 2.Why does the dodo believe Man 3. Who killed the dodo 运用听力技能获取主旨大意及关键信息。 语言能力:猜测、提取、概括、描述信息
Step 4Viewing and Speaking Ss watch a video, work in pairs to talk about the endangered animals in the video and why they are endangered. Step 5Discussion andPresentation Group work: First, Ss choose one endangered animal that they want to save. Discuss in groups about how to save their animals.Second, work on a presentation about wildlife protection, either making a poster or giving a speech.
