Step I 学习理解
活动一:情境导入(Find mistakes)
1. Ask students to find the mistakes in the following sentences.
(1)He is teach English.
(2)You will pass the final exam, if you studying hard.
(3)I interested in reading books.
(4)Because she was moved by the hero, she decided work in a theatre.
(5)What’s the language speaking in that country
Suggested answers:
(1)teach 改为 teaching
(2)studying 改为 study
(3) I后加am
(4)decided 后加 to
(5)speaking 改为 spoken
2. Ask students to make a summary.
(1)谓语:动词或动词短语
假设一个句子,巳经存在一个谓语动词,又没有连词的情况:
She got off the bus, ________(leave) her handbag on her seat.

注意:过去分词作定语时,将过去分词放在所修饰词之前,表示被动完成。例如:
a trained nurse, a retired teacher, the fallen leaves
活动三:控制性练习
1. 识别过去分词及功能(SB,P42,Part1)
Look at the sentences and underline the past participles. In pairs, discuss their functions. Then find more sentences with the-ed form in the text.
Suggested answers:
(1) Most people just use the shortened name: “the United Kingdom” or “the UK”.
(2) They use the same flag,known as the Union Jack,…

2. 过去分词作前置和后置定语(SB,P42,Part 2)
Complete the phrases in the second column by using the past participles in the first column. Compare the meaning of each pair of phrases. Then make sentences with the phrases.

3. 过去分词作宾语补足语
Fill in the blanks.

注意:过去分词作宾语补足语时,过去分词紧跟在宾语之后,用于补充完整宾语的含义,过去分词与宾语存在被动关系。
(1)在使役动词get,have,make,keep,leave等后,可用过去分词作宾语补足语。以have举例说明:在“have+宾语+过去分词”结构中,过去分词作宾语补足语,have也可用get,这一结构具有以下几种含义
①主语请别人做某事
He wants to have his eyes examined tomorrow
②主语遭遇、遭受某一不愉快、不测的事情
Be careful,or you'll have your hands hurt
③使完成某事,事情既可以是别人做完,也可以由主语参与完成
He had the walls painted this morning.
(2)表示“希望,要求”的动词,如:want, wish, expect, like, order等后,可用过去分词作宾语补足语。
I want the work finished by Sunday.
Jim ordered the room cleaned.
(3)表示感觉(官)或心理状态的词,如:feel, think, see, watch, observe, look, hear, listen to, notice等后,可用过去分词作宾语补足语。
I heard the song sung in English.
He felt his hometown greatly changed.
(4)过去分词用在“with/ without +宾语+宾补”这一结构中,过去分词与宾语之间是动宾关系。这一结构通常在句中作时间、方式、条件、原因等状语。
With all the homework finished, I had a rest.
They left without a dish touched.
Step II 应用实践
活动四:识别宾语补足语(SB,P42,Part 3)
Read the sentences and underline the -ed form as the object complement.
Suggested answers:
(1)Judy and I had our car parked in an underground car park near Trafalgar Square, where we could get our car battery charged.
(2)When we finally reached the service desk to ask for audio guides, we heard it announced that there were no audio guides left.
(3)We found ourselves very surprised by the large number of visitors and the amount of noise at the entrance of the National Gallery.
(4)Judy had her eyes fixed on Van Gogh’s Sun flowers. It was hard to approach the painting、as jhere were so many people around.
(5) She had a copy of the painting boxed to ensure that it was delivered safely.
活动五:情境练习(SB,P42,Part 4)
Rewrite the sentences with past participles as the attribute, and then see whether you can write a little story with them.
(1)Loch Ness was surrounded by beautiful natural landscape, which made it look amazing.
(2)Cars and his friends stayed with a generous family who offered them bread with butter and honey that was homemade.
(3)The family’s ancestors once attended to soldiers who were wounded in the First World War.
(4)The young people were attracted by the legend of Loch Ness. They watched over the lake with their cameras and binoculars, which were positioned on the hill.
Suggested answers:
(1) Loch Ness surrounded by beautiful natural landscape looked amazing.
(2)Carl and his friends stayed with a generous family who offered them homemade bread with butter and honey.
(3)The family’s ancestors once attended to soldiers wounded in the First World War.
(4)The young people attracted by the legend of Loch Ness watched over the lake with their cameras and binoculars positioned on the hill.
【设计意图】在对过去分词作定语有了初步了解和认识之后,让学生在语境中运用,加深对过去分词作定语的理解,提高在语境中使用语法的能力。

1. Using past participles to describe the story.
The Little Match Girl
It was snowing and very cold outside. A little girl was walking in the street,selling matches. She didn’t wear any shoes because she had her shoes _____ (lose). 【设计意图】在学习和练习了过去分词作定语和宾语补足语之后,让学生翻译含有过去分词作定语和宾语补足语的句子,把学生置入新的情境中复习巩固过去分词的功能,然后让学生发挥自己的想象力编故事,有助于对所学过去分词作定语和宾语补足语有更深刻的理解和更准确的把握。
