教材分析 This teaching period mainly deal with new words and reading. Students are expected to master the new words and can talk about keeping pet dogs with some sentence patterns. The teachers are expected to enable students to master some reading skills--skimming.
学习目标与核心素养 1. Knowledge objectives: ① Enable students to acquire the basic usage of some words and phrases. ② Master the sentence pattern: Keeping pet dogs is a good idea. It’s nice to hold them in our arms, and it’s wonderful to see them grow up. Young people can learn how to care for others by keeping dogs. They have no choice but to keep their dogs in small spaces.2. Skill objectives: ①Understand the points of view in the text. ②Use some words and phrases to support the ideas.3. Emotional objectives: Understand the different points of view on keeping pets.4. Thinking quality objectives: Identify the key information to retell and share their ideas.
重点 Obtain key information according to the title and illustrations of the passage.
难点 Guess the meaning of vocabulary from the context and retell with key information.
