语法精讲
用法1
1. 发出指示或请求可以用can、could、may、might。
用could/might 语气更加委婉,但答语不用 could/might。
例:Could I come to see you tomorrow
Might I have a word with you

2. 发出指示或请求还可以用will、would。
常用于主语是第二人称的句子中。
用法2
例:Will you give him a message when you see him
Would you pass me the book, please

3. 发出指示或请求还可以用shall。
常用于主语是第一、三人称的句子中。

典例精析
提出建议可以用can/could、had better、should、ought to。
例:You could pay a visit to him.
You had better go there at once.
You ought to obey your parents.

过去将来时
用法
常用于主句谓语动词为过去时态的宾语从句中。
时间状语
the next day (month/ year),the following day(month/year),soon等。
意义
过去某个时间看来将要发生的动作或存在的状态。
用法1
(1) would+动词原形,常表示主观意愿的将来。
例:1. He said he would come to see me.
  2. He promised to his father he would not give up.
过去将来时的构成(1)
否定式: would后面加not
用法2
(2) was/ were + going to +动词原形,常表示根据计划或安排即将发生的事。
例:1. She said she was going to start off at once.
  2. It seemed as if it was going to rain.
过去将来时的构成(2)
还可表示根据某种迹象来看,很可能或即将发生的事情。
用法3
(3) was/were about to +动词原形,表示说话的瞬间就会发生的动作。
例:1. I felt something terrible was about to happen.
  2. He said that the train was about to leave.
过去将来时的构成(3)
用法4
(4) was/were to +动词原形,表示过去某时间内计划/打算或一定要进行的动作。
例:1. It was reported that another bridge was to be built.
2. She said she was to clean the classroom after school.

1. Wang Lin rang up to tell her mother that she will buy some books.
解析:主句用一般过去时,宾语从句中用would+动词原形构成过去将来时。
