The hero is an extraordinary writer-Lu Xun, who wrote a lot of remarkable prose and novels. He was committed to fighting against the enemy with his articles, arousing the passion of the Chinese for building a new China. It was because of this that he was acknowledged as a hero of his time.

Florence Nightingale
Born in 1820 in Italy, Florence Nightingale dreamed to become a nurse and had formal training in Germany. Later she took up positions in hospitals in London. Nurses then had a relatively low social status. It was Florence who gradually changed all that.
During the Crimean War, Florence and her team though encountering difficulty and danger, went to the front and saved numerous lives. She had a crucial influence on founding the International Red Cross.
In 1912, International Nurses’ Day was founded in honour of her extraordinary contribution to the health care cause.

I am writing to introduce a famous woman scientist. The scientist is madam Curie.
As an extraordinary scientist, Madam Curie was born in Poland in 1867. From her childhood, distinct from other girls she devoted her whole life to scientific research.
Later she encountered Professor Pierre Curie and married him in 1895. They researched together and discovered polonium and radium, which are of vital importance to physics. Owing to their remarkable achievements, they won the Nobel Prize for Physics together with another scientist in 1903. Later she received a second Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1911. So she was acknowledged as one of the greatest women scientists in the world.
