The report is based on interviews with 200experts,business leaders and young people from Asia-Pacific,Europe and North America. It shows that in the US technology already destroys more jobs than it creates. But the report states,“ Losing
occupations does not necessarily mean losing jobs just changing what people do. Growth in new jobs could occur as much according to the research "The growth of companies that have the speed and technological know-how will directly challenge big companies, It states
A 2019 report by Pew Research Centre found 52 per cent of experts in artificial intelligence and robotics were optimistic about the future and believed there would still be enough jobs in the next few years The optimists pictured a future in which robots do not take the place of more jobs than they create according to Aaron Smith. the reports co-author Technology will continue to affect jobs, but more jobs seem likely to be created. Many automobile makers present their newest designs at car shows around the world. Many designers seek to create the car of the future. One device that is popular among car manufacturers (生产商) is an autopilot an autopilot permits a car to drive itself without human control.
A recent car show in Geneva. Switzerland also presented other possible designs, including cars manufactured on 3D printers.
Rinspeed is a Swiss design company. It showed a vehicle based on the US electric car Tesla model s but the Rinspeed car includes a large television and an espresso coffee maker.
Frank Rinderknecht is the CEO of Rinspeed. He says he does not want to just sit and watch the steering wheel(方向盘) turn as he rides in a car with an autopilot.
“I want to ride; I want to sleep, relax, watch movies ,news ,and anything else. So that's the vision which we have. One day on the boring motorway traffic, you just do anything that makes your life better , ” said Rinderknecht.
One of the most interesting ideas presented at the show is a car built on a 3D printer. The German engineering firm EDAG designed the car. The body of the vehicle called “Genesis” is printed in one piece from a material called thermoplastic(热塑性塑料).
Christoph Horvath is a spokesman for EDAG. “To create a car without the use of any tool, this would be a real revolution for the industry, said Horvath.
EDAG said it based its design on a turtle shell The company said the design provided the right amount of strength and firmness Other automakers did not look so far into the future. Walmart will soon use 360 robot cleaners across a few hundred of its stores. Using maps input out by human employees, the Al-powered cleaners will travel in the store with no difficulty, sweeping the floor--just as human employees used to do. Perhaps the most striking thing about these robot workers is how not-striking they are. Sci-fi movies suggest a future full of human-like robots who appear with their horrible qualities. Now the future is coming into view, and it looks like a giant lie. It's easy to imagine walking past an Auto-C on a shopping trip without even noticing its presence.
AI has already started to become a part of our everyday life. In New Jersey this week, dozens of workers were hospitalized after a robot at an Amazon fulfillment centre accidentally broke a can and enveloped workers in an eye-and-lung-damaging gas. Days earlier in California,an auto-piloted Tesla drove a drunk, sleeping driver down a highway, which no doubt did some potential risk to the other drivers on the road. Highway patrol officers figured out on the spot how to stop the AI car.
Of course, industrial accidents and drunk drivers existed as well before AI. Tools with the power to release the burden of physical labor——horses, steam machines,self-driving cars—-—also come with the power to injure people. And the presence of AI-powered machines that just steps away from us is, for now, still a rare thing for most people.
But the nature of robots’ coming into our daily life will make it harder to recognize—or object to--the bigger changes they bring later. Walmart insists that the robot cleaners give employees more time for customer service and other tasks. Critics point out that they could just as easily become an excuse to reduce staff and wages.
12. What is the difference between sci-fi movies and the reality
A. Now the human-like robots are hard to recognize.
B. Now people don't go to see the sci-fi movies.
C. Now the human-like robots can tell lies.
D. Now it is easy to ignore the robots.
13. Why were some workers in hospital in New Jersey
A. Because they damaged the robot first.
B. Because the robot caused an accident on purpose.
C. Because the robot made a mistake by chance.
D. Because the robot driving them on the highway had an accident.
14. What is the attitude of the author to AI
A. Supportive.
B. Objective.
C. Doubtful.
D. Indifferent.
15. What is the main idea of the passage
A. Artificial intelligence is bringing great effects to our daily life.
B. Walmart will soon use 360 robot cleaners across its stores.
C. We should say no to artificial intelligence.
D. Artificial intelligence is dangerous to our life.

How to Bring Our Community Together
Canada is a nation that prides itself on multi-culturalism and opportunities. 16 Building social connections and a sense of belonging brings people together in ways that strengthen individual relationships as well as whole communities.
There are several things that we can do to develop strong social connections and a sense of belonging :
17 One of the simplest ways to bring a community together is to share experience. Events like an international food festival,a sports league featuring activities from around the world , and health and wellness programs drawing on different cultures are excellent ways of bringing people together.
Think outside the box. 18 Many of us get caught up in our own routines and practices and forget that there are other ways of doing things. Try talking to different community members, ranging from youths to seniors,to understand their opinions of the world. 19
Try new things. Positively influencing our community can go beyond volunteering our time and resources. Consider getting involved in our community by working for the census(人口普查) as an enumerator(普查员)or a crew leader. Census enumerators are responsible for identifying dwellings on maps, conducting personal interviews, and following up with respondents in person and by phone, while crew leaders are responsible for leading, training and supervising a team of enumerators. 20
A strong feeling of unity in a community can make residents feel comfortable and at home.
A. Plan community events.
B. Encourage community members to do some community service work.
C. Social connections offer community members chances to know each other better.
D. Our multi-cultural tradition provides a welcoming environment for individuals and families.
E. Learning about different cultures and practices can open our minds to a whole new way of life.
F. Invite individuals of different cultures to participate in community planning to ensure that every voice is heard.
G. These positions provide an opportunity to meet new people and build relationships with members of our community.

38. Although/Though/While考查连词。
根据here's an umbrella for you(这里有把伞给你)可知,此处应用it指代前一句提到的雨伞。
故填that。
第三部分 写作
第一节
One possible version:
Dear Ben,
I'm sorry that you're having trouble learning Chinese. It is no easy job and I have heard a lot about the difficulties in Chinese learning, so you are not alone. Here are some tips you may find helpful.
It would be a good idea that you could find as many chances as possible to talk with local people. It is a great way to push yourself to speak Chinese as well as practice your listening skills. Equally important is reading more. Go to the bookstore and find some Chinese storybooks suitable for you and set a time to read every day.
It takes time to learn a language. Be patient and you'll make progress.
Yours ,
Li Hua
