[What]本节课提供了一篇议论文,议论主题是“我们应该抗拒新技术吗?”文本第一自然段提出论点,二、三自然段分别论述了两种不同的观点,第一种观点认为在没有新技术的情况下世界上有许多人依旧过着幸福的生活,另一种观点恰好相反,认为新技术为世界各地的人们提供了许多好处。结尾段作者给出自己的观点:新技术改变我们的生活方式,这可能是一个可怕的前景,不过,我们应该看好的一面,接受它而不是抵抗它。文章主题与本单元主题语境相关,有助于对主题意义的探究。文本结构清晰,论据充足,为写作提供很好的范本。

课时目标
学生在学习完本篇议论文后,应该能够:
1.从正反两方面概括出人们对新技术的不同观点和态度,整合文本信息,建立文本信息关联,形成对新技术产品新的知识结构,感知和理解语言所表达的意义。
2.分析与判断作者的写作手法,掌握议论文的行文特点,学习本文的写作方法,为写作提供很好的范本。
3.联系个人生活,使学生在新的语境中,用恰当的语言表达自己对新技术的观点和态度,加深对主题意义的理解,实现深度学习,促进能力向素养的转化。

活动一:获取与梳理(Brainstorm)
1.Ask students to think what they know about new technology.
2.Ask student to read the title and try to predict what the text is mainly about.
3.Ask students to read the text and then decide whether the statements are true (T)or false(F).
