[What]本节课为一篇说明文。文本第一自然段对主题公园进行了总体介绍,二、三、四自然段分别介绍了遍布世界各地的迪士尼乐园、位于美国东南部的多莉山主题公园以及中国珠海市的长隆海洋王国,从地理位置、游乐设施、名胜景点、秀场表演以及美食等不同方面进行描述。文章主题与本单元主题语境相关,有助于对主题意义的探究。文本结构清晰,逻辑分明,能够为写作提供很好的范本。

3.联系个人生活,使学生在新的语境中,能够根据交际对象,用得体的语言介绍主题公园,以书面形式进行有效的跨文化沟通,实现对语言知识和文化知识的内化,促进能力向素养的转化。
4.通过小组合作,对组内成员的文章进行批判性评价与相互学习,培养学生批判性思维及与他人合作学习的能力。

活动一:获取与梳理
1.Ask students to name some world-renowned theme parks and think about what they are famous for.
2.Read the title and try to predict what the text is mainly about.
3.Read the text and then fill in the table on Page 32.

活动三:分析与判断
1.写作目的分析(Writing purpose)
Ask students to think about the following questions.
·Whom do you think this text is written to?
·Why do you think the author write this text?
Suggested answers:
·To those who have interest in or would like to visit t theme parks.
·To attract readers to visit these theme parks.
2.策略应用(How does the author write?)
(1)The author uses some sentences with the -ing forms to describe what people can do in the theme parks. Find and underline them.
(2)Find the following items in the text,and then discuss in groups how they are used and what they add to the text.

(2)adjectives:These add colour and life to the passage and make the descriptions more interesting and inviting.
if-clauses:These help the reader make the decision to do as you suggest. For example,when you say,“If you want to have fun and more than fun...”the reader will probably say to himself,“Well, of course I want to have fun and more than fun. ”
imperatives:These are used for strong suggestions or the “hard sell”. People tend to do as they are instructed,so the use of imperatives can be an effective way to motivate them to do something,especially if done in a friendly way.
【设计意图】通过分析文章的写作目的以及作者的写作手法,使学生对文章语用知识方面有更深层次的理解,也为下一步的写作打好语言基础。
活动四:内化与应用
1.Choose the park you wish to write about.
2.Make a mind map about the park.
3.Use your notes to write your draft.
【设计意图】本活动为写作实践,在写前设计了思维导图,引导学生对全文结构做出设计,收集尽可能多的信息,列举重要内容,旨在降低写作难度,增强学生写作的信心。

活动五:批判与评价
Exchange your draft with a partner.
(1)Use the checklist to help you review your partner's draft

【设计意图】该环节从探讨文章是否结构清晰,正文是否包含了公园的重要信息,作者有否添加额外信息,正文有否使用动词-ing形式、if从句及祈使句,文章语法、标点、词汇拼写是否正确等方面,让学生对其他同学的草稿进行综合评价与相互学习,加深对主题意义的理解和批判思维及多元思维的培养,实现深度学习。
