Dear Miss Worried’
I'm sorry to know _____________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I hope you'll find them useful.
Yours,
Li Hua One possible version:
Dear Miss Worried,
I’m sorry to know that you' re having trouble caused by cultural differences. Studies have revealed that almost everyone may be bothered with such problems when going into a foreign country so you needn't worry so much.
British culture differs from Chinese culture in many ways. In Britain, staring at others is impolite and may make others embarrassed. While in China, it mainly implies curiosity or surprise. In addition, patting one’s hand may mean encouragement while this pose will make people feel ashamed in China. You can read some relevant books to learn about more.
I hope you’ll find them useful.
Yours,
Li Hua
(2)佳作二
假设你是外教老师Tm,你的学生李华要出国游玩,希望你能提供一些有关出国旅游需要注意的问题。请根据下列提示,写一封信。内容包括:
①注意文化差异的必要性;
②常见的一些文化差异;
③表达美好祝愿。
注意:①词数80左右;
②文章开头和结尾已给出,但不计入总词数
③可以适当增加细节,以使行文连贯。
Dear Li Hua,
How are you?_______________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Yours,
Tim
One possible version:
Dear Li Hua,
How are you I'm glad to share with you some cultural differences between China and other countries.
Culture varies in different countries. It's important to know about it. Otherwise it may cause conflicts.
For example, in America, shaking a finger implies warning others. In English-speaking countries, the speaker applauds merely for his proud performance. While in China it means friendliness or thanks. In a word, when in a foreign country, remember “Do as the romans do”.
Wish you a good journey!
Yours,
Tim
