Alice: But life shouldn’t just be about grades. Free time activities like
sports and hanging out with friends are important, too.

pressure可指外界施加的压力或工作、生活中的压力。既可作可数名词又可作不可数名词,但一般情况下用作不可数名词。常用短语:put pressure on sb. 向某人施加压力; under pressure 在压力之下
eg:I’m not able to do well with the pressure from my job.
我无法很好地承受工作的压力。
The team performs well under pressure. 这支球队在压力下表现良好。
【拓展】stress是指精神上的压力:如:考试之前,面试之前的紧张,pressure使之物理上的压力:例如:水压、大气压等等。pressure只可作名词,stress既可作名词,又可做动词,stress做名词时,意思偏于精神方面的压力,pressure做名词时,意思偏于物理方面的压力, stress 指引起其形状、大小改变的力。用于指人时,指感情、心理上的紧张、苦恼。
