1.前缀re常表示以下四方面的意义：
（1）表示“回”或“向后”的意思。例如：
return回来，返回 recall回忆，召回
retract缩回；撤回，收回
（2）表示“再”“重新”“重复”的意思。例如：
review复习 reunion团圆，重聚
restart重新开始 reconstruction重建
（3）表示“相反”“反对”的意思。例如：
rebel反叛，谋反 reverse反转，颠倒
resist反抗，抵抗
（4）表示“更加”的意思，用作加强语气，该用法较少例如：
commend“推荐”，与 commend意思相同，但语气更强一些。
2.前缀dis-常表示以下两个方面的意义
（1）表示“分开，分离”。例如：
distract分discuss 讨论discard抛弃
dispense分配
（2）表示“不，无”。例如：
dislike不喜欢 disorder无秩序
disagree不同意 dishonest不诚实的
disappear消失
3.前缀micro-的意义：
前缀 micro-来源于希腊语，意为“sml”，一般用于科技术语
microbe细菌，微生物 microcosm微观世界
microampere微安 microorganism微生物
microsecond微秒 microscope显微镜
4.前缀trans-常表示以下两方面的意义：
（1）表示“转变”“变换”。例如：

gustatory味觉的（味觉类的）
此外，构成形容词还可表示“起……作用的、产生的”。例如：

justificatory起辩护作用的、用以辩解的（正义类的）
6.后缀-ion的意义：
后缀ion：常表示“性质，状态，程度，动作的过程、结果”等。这个后缀常有-tion、-sion、-ssion等不同变化形式。它们的读音大致相似，因而极易引起拼写错误。英语中常见的这类词归类如下:

Get to know the suffix
Introduce some of the common suffixes to students to study.
（1）-ment表示物品或物质的名称，如 Instrument、equipment、attachment。
（2）-able、-ible带有“属性、倾向、相关”的含义,如movable、comfortable、applicable，visible、responsible。
（3）-ize、ise表示“做成、变成、……化”，如 modernize、mechanize、democratize。【设计意图】在使用前缀和后缀进行练习之前，让学生学习前缀和后缀方面的知识，有助于学生正确应用单词的形式表达意义。
