Generally speaking, Face values can tell the real value/ price of money and stamps.
What does your face tell the world
The face is a picture of the mind with the eyes as its interpreter. With a smile or a frown, our faces can effortlessly communicate to others how we’re feeling. But recent studies have found that the human face can also convey essential characteristics that make up who we are. (人脸可以传达我们的本质特征)
Nowadays, a person’s appearance can also be called face value.
Some apps can even give a score on your face value.
However, can a person’s face value/ score really tell his or her personality
In Peking opera, there are quite a few masks that can tell the personalities of the characters by using different colors.

A red mask represents a hero with positive characteristics such as honesty and loyalty.
The mask of Guan Yu is a typical example of a “full, red face”.
A black mask represents a bold but rough character, who is serious, fair and selfless.
Zhang Fei and Bao Zheng are two typical examples.
A blue mask represents a character who is upright (正直的) and brave in the face of challenges.
A yellow mask represents a fierce character.
This type of facial makeup in opera represents vicious brutality (凶狠残暴), such as Dian Wei.
A white mask represents a character who is disloyal, clever and aims to do harm.
This character is also clever and will cheat people to get what they want, such as Cao Cao.
Xiaohualian, a black and white mask painted on and round the actor’s nose, represents a character who is funny and entertaining, and who easily wins the audience's affection.

1. What can you see in the three pictures
In the first picture, there are four yellow ducklings standing together, one grey ducking standing alone and a swan flying in the sky.
In the second picture, there is a tiger who is smelling a red flower.
In the third picture, there is a cat who is looking in the mirror and imaging itself as a lion.
2. What does each of the pictures tell you about the characters
In the first picture, the grey duckling may feel lonely and different, and unfairly left out by the other ducklings because of the way it looks.
Perhaps it dreams of becoming a beautiful and graceful swan one day.
In the second picture, the tiger looks gentle, sweet and thoughtful, showing its delicate and vulnerable side.
In the third picture, even though the cat is small, it sees itself as being strong and powerful, like a lion.
