Step I 学习理解
活动一:The pre-trip discussion
T: It is said that a person who travels far knows more. Therefore, you and your friends want to plan a summer holiday journey across some vast land in order to learn more about the history, culture, and traditions about the country and the world.
Ask students to work in groups, discuss the following questions.
·What vast land would you like to travel across
·How can you make such a trip

□by boat □on a bicycle □other
·Which kind of transport would you like to use Why
活动二:The pre-trip researching
Ask students to work in groups, assign them to research the followings.

Step Ⅱ 应用实践
活动三: Exploring South America by bike
1. Ask students to read the sample on Page 47 and learn how to design the project.
2. Ask students to work in groups, and discuss the question.

what I need and some useful tips.

活动四:Make a poster
1. Ask students to form different groups according to their interest and choose a group leader.
2. The group leader assigns the task to each group member.
3. Do research on the Internet.
4. Make a poster.

Ask students to vote on the most interesting and exciting idea.
