Every year in May,art galleries and museums prepare shows to honour Leonardo da Vinci, who died in France on 2 May,1519.He is remembered as one of the greatest artists and most creative thinkers of all time. His most famous paintings are Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
Recently, researchers have been studying a painting-landscape 8P which, they think,is da Vinci's earliest-known artwork. They used special lighting to study the artwork and discovered there were two images(图像),not one. One drawing is on the back of the piece, which dates back to 5 August,1473.
The drawing on the front was painted when Leonardo was 21 years old. It shows a river valley and a castle outside the city of Florence. There is little left of the drawing on the back, perhaps because it was wiped out. Only a bridge over a river can be seen. But there is writing on both sides.
The writing on the front gives the date and goes from right to left. Some people would call this “mirror-writing”. It's a way Leonardo often used to write in his notebooks. The writing on the back goes from left to right and tells about an agreement, probably to produce a work of art.
Cecilia Frosinini is an art historian. She said,“By looking at his writing, including the one from this drawing,we can see his right-handed handwriting is educated and well done.”
Experts compared the two handwriting samples(样本)and said they were both made by Leonardo. They showed he could write well using his left hand or his right hand.
The drawing is known as Landscape 8P for its number in an art list. It will be part of an exhibit at Italy's Uffizi Gallery. The gallery director,Eike Schmidt, said by studying the drawing researchers gave us a new way of looking at Leonardo's drawing techniques and his abilities to write.
1. Which of the following mentioned in the text has been studied by researchers recently
A. Mona Lisa.
B. Landscape 8P.
C. Mirror-writing.
D. The Last Supper.
2. What does the writing on the back probably tell about
A.A statement about the painting.
B. An introduction to Leonardo.
C. An agreement to produce a painting.
D. Something about the city of Florence.
3. What can we learn about Leonardo from the researchers' study
A. He could write with either of his hands.
B. He did badly in right-handed handwriting.
C. He wasn't good at writing with his left hand.
D. He taught himself to write with the right hand.
4. What's Eike Schmidt's attitude towards the research
A. Unclear.
B. Indifferent.
C. Doubtful.
D. Positive.

[广东华南师大附中2020高二期末]You don't have to be an art expert to comment on how you feel about a piece of art. 1 The same beauty that you appreciate in these everyday objects is the thing you can appreciate and discuss in art. If you are interested in broadening your artistic appreciation by visiting an art museum or gallery, here are steps to help you get a fuller experience.
2 Often exhibits are based on a theme,a time period,a single artist's works or a group of artists working within the same basic concepts. By taking a few minutes to view the exhibit as a whole you can better appreciate the individual pieces.
Return to the beginning of the exhibit and spend a little more time viewing each piece. First, examine each piece up close. Look for details in the artwork. Second, step back anywhere from 4-6 feet away to get the full picture. 3 Find the pieces you feel drawn to. Never feel the need to linger on a piece that you don't like. 4 Question the subject, the materials used to create the piece, and your own reaction to it. See if you can guess the artist's intent.
Use the exhibition labels to understand the work. 5 After reading the information, ask yourself whether it supports or changes the way you initially reacted to the work.
When you move on, try to give each piece in the gallery a fair chance. No piece will appeal to everyone, but sometimes after closer inspection, you will find yourself appreciating works outside of your usual tastes.
A. Take some time to first scan through the entire gallery.
B. You just need to make continuous efforts to acquire the taste.
C. Spend some time moving around each piece to learn more about it.
D. Finally, if the piece is a 3-D sculptured object, be sure to view it from different angles.
E. These labels are where you can find the title, medium, artist and other useful information.
F. Try to think of the work of art as your other interests such as a beautiful car or dress design.
G. If, however, you find that the piece appeals to you, try to understand what it is about it that attracts you so much.

后文中these everyday objects可对应F选项中的such as a beautiful car or dress design。故选F项。
2.A本句总起全段,说明欣赏展览的方法。根据后文提到花几分钟时间从整体上看展览可知,此处建议的是先花时间总体浏览一下整个画廊。后文中view the exhibit as a whole可对应A选项中的scan through the entire gallery,故选A项。
上文中the exhibition labels可对应E选项中的These labels。故选E项。
