Visitors often get lost in a foreign（外国的）country. So knowing the way is very important. People in different countries have different ways to show the way.
In Japan, people don’t use street names, but they use landmarks in their directions（方向）. For example, when you ask the way to a restaurant, the Japanese can say, “Go along this street, and turn left at the hospital. You can see a post office. The restaurant is across from it.”
