We moved into a beautiful old house with two storeys. The house was built in 1956. It was repaired in 2003.
At first, really small things began to happen. They didn’t make me believe that something was wrong, but as time went on, things started becoming stranger and stranger. Early something was missing, and later on it would be found somewhere else. I just thought I had forgotten where I put it, or perhaps my daughter was playing around with things. Then later on I would hear strange sounds when nobody was at home but me. Yet it was an old house, and sometimes old houses did make little noises, so again, I didn’t really mind.
Then things that I couldn’t explain started happening. It was November and I was at home alone cleaning the house. When I was sweeping the kitchen floor, I felt a very cold wind blowing my hair. I thought the kitchen window must have been opened, but when I checked it, it was closed. The windows were new, and there was no way any cold air came in.
We all felt very strange and moved away from there in October, 2014. I was never really frightened. It was just strange, like something or someone was trying to get my attention or something.

More than fifty years has passed since the first satellite (人造卫星) in China was sent into space in 1970. From then on, many such inspiring moments were left in our memories.
The latest encouraging moment happened on June 5th, 2022. Shenzhou-14, China’s ninth manned spaceflight (载人宇宙飞行), successfully sent Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe into the Tiangong Space Station, where they would work and live for 6 months. More research work would be completed and great challenges were ahead waiting for them.
Years of preparations were made for the moment. For example, enough knowledge and skills helped deal with problems; physical and mental (心理的) training helped to keep the best condition. Although it was the second time for Chen Dong and Liu Yang to fly into space, they again with Cai Xuzhe received hard training. As for Liu Yang, now a mother of two young kids, she believes it’s her duty to do that for our country and set a good example for her children.
