British people love to express themselves through humour and it’s part of their daily life, jokes are believed to be related to culture. One example is the British class system and the other is “word play”. Two other unique characteristics of British comedy are joking about topics that would be considered “taboo” in other cultures and humour focused on self-depreciation.
  Although what’s funny for one person might not for another, the wide range of techniques used by British comedians and comedy writers makes it possible for every taste in culture.
