Unit 4 Humor Writing Workshop
教材分析
本课是一节指导学生写幽默故事的写作课，本课通过一则幽默故事Lost Identity引导学生关注幽默故事的结构及写作特点。在本单元前面课时内容和语言的学习基础上，学生尝试描述自己的生活趣事。本课是对单元主题学习内化后的输出任务。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
1. 分析幽默故事特点和人物，获取故事主要内容，讲述故事引人发笑的原因；
2. 通过学习幽默故事范文的语言和结构，书写幽默故事，并在写的过程中理解幽默故事的表达方式，运用创造反差的方法创作细节丰富的幽默故事。
教学重难点

通过写作练习，学会幽默故事的写作，分享自己的趣事。
【教学难点】
通过欣赏幽默故事，理解幽默背后的信息和文化内涵，加深对幽默文化的理解。
教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
Pair Work: You are going to write a funny story. What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you Use the structure below to help you tell your story.
设计意图：引入主题，激发学生兴趣。
Step 2 Reading
1. Read the funny story “Lost Identity”. Answer the questions.
(1) When and where did the story take place
(2) What happened to the main characters in the story
(3) Why is the story funny
2. Complete the information in the “Details” column based on the structure given.
设计意图：通过第一遍阅读，帮助学生获取故事的主要信息以及punchline的定义和用法。
Step 3 Structure and language
1. Writing a story. Introduce Sentence Builder.
2. Write 2-3 sentences about the setting and the plot in your story. Use the Sentence Builder to help you.
设计意图：通过讲解帮助学生进一步关注故事的语言和结构，了解如何写幽默故事。
Step 4 Writing
1. Outlining: Complete the right column of information in Activity 3 based on the funny story you shared at the beginning of the lesson. Or you may start a new story.
2. Drafting: Use your outline and the Writing Help to write your first draft.
3. Writing: Finish your story based on the following useful expressions.
4. Editing: Edit your story in pairs. Then share what you have written in class.
设计意图：帮助学生理清写作思路，引导学生通过对立文本创作幽默故事，逐步完成提纲和第一稿。
Step 5 Assignment
Polish your story based on the comments from your classmates.
设计意图：引导学生利用同伴评价进一步润色幽默故事，提升写作水平。
