used “for” and “against” factory farming
For: It’s cheaper and provides more food. The costs are low and the production is high. Factory-farmed animals suffer from fewer diseases.
Against: It’s cruel to the animals. Animals are kept in small spaces and they can hardly move. Factory farming has a negative impact on the environment because it creates lots of waste products, and uses lots of chemicals and drugs.

We should try to reduce this kind of farming, although we would have to pay more for our eggs and meat.
