What do the key words have in common
All the people mentioned are connections a person usually has in life.
My parents are very important to me. They always believe in me and support me in everything I do.
Think of another group of people that could be added to. i.e. sister/brother, cousins, share your ideas with your partner.
Talk about how important your connections are to you.

Use the Text Builder to talk about a person that you have a close connection with, including the problems you had with him/her, and also what you have learnt from each other.
Human relationships are not always easy, but there are ways to make up and learn how to solve arguments, disagreements. Choose the person you will talk about and what problems you had.
Listen to the dialogue. Answer the questions.
1. What problem did Max have
Max’s neighbors were making too much noise in their flat in the evenings and it was disturbing him.
2. How did he deal with the problem
He didn’t want any conflict with them. He went over to the neighbors’ flat and told them how unhappy the noise was making him.

Use the language you have learnt to talk about any problem you had with other people and how you managed to resolve the problem.
Oral practice:
If you have a problem with your neighbor.
The best first step is always communication. Discuss the practical aspects of the problem, how it is affecting you both and what needs to be done to solve it. Be sure to treat your neighbor with respect and listen to what they have to say.
Work out what you need for the problem to go away.
Make an agreement with your neighbor.
Look for options that best suit your particular situation.
Be prepared to compromise.
