一、Teaching aims:
Knowledge aims: Ss can read and understand the new words: they, they're=they are, monkey, baby, all, zoo, tiger, lion, elephant, fat and say these sentences: What's this It's a lion. What are they They're tigers. Ss can act some animals. Ss can chant”Here is a monkey”. Ss can sing the song: OLD MACDONALLD HAS A ZOO.
Ability aims: Ss can use the sentence pattern “What's this/that It's a/an ... What are they They're ...” to ask and say what animal it is or what animals they are.
Emotional aims: Ss are willing to speak English and sing English songs.

Step1: Pre-listening
1. Say the rhyme. 三上M9U2A4. Learn the new word “zoo”. T: o-o /u:/. 分组读。T: This is a rhyme about pandas. Who’s this 让学生注意观察图片Which one is the mother panda Why (She has a flower in her head, and she wears a skirt.)
Learn the new word: baby
T: Where are they At school In the classroom Ss: They're all in the zoo.
Learn the new word: zoo
T: Here are some monkeys. Learn the new word “monkey”(mother).
T: What can you see in this picture 观察哪个是mother monkey(左Why Her eyebrows go up, she has a flower in her head.), father monkey, baby monkey.
T: Now let's enjoy a chant about them.
2. Watch, listen and chant.
