教学目标
1、能听懂、会读、会说新单词: dot, line, square, circle。
2、熟练掌握并能灵活运用句型: What’s this/that 及其回答It’s a…在交际的情景中作出正确的反应。
3、能运用正确的语言就生活中所出现的形状进行交流。
4、培养学生养成仔细观察周围事物的好习惯。
5、通过仔细观察、展开想象、体验编画,来发现生活中的图形,并乐于创造美的事物。
学情分析
1、学生对英语学习兴趣较浓。2、学生在三年级上学期已经学过文具类等单词、学过关于猜猜物体的话题,掌握了What’s this/that 及其回答It’s a…的对话。三年级(下)五单元学了并较好掌握了How many pens are there 句型。
重点难点

1、能听懂、会读、会说新单词: dot, line, square, circle。
2、熟练掌握并能灵活运用句型: What’s this/that 及其回答It’s a…在交际的情景中作出正确的反应。
[教学难点]
1、能掌握单词的正确读音,如square, circle的发音。
2、能熟练运用本课时的句型。
教学过程
【导入】Step 1 Warming-up
1.Greetings
Good morning. Nice to see you. How are you Today, I’m very happy. Are you happy too Look, there are many happy faces here, try your best and you will get them, ok
2. Let’s enjoy a song: What’s this
拍手,跟唱。
3.Let's chant: It's a bag.
【讲授】Step 2 Presentation and drills
1.引出主题句:It’s a circle.(CAI)
a. (showing a picture of a ruler, a bag, a ball and an eraser) Look, what can you see
S: A ruler, a book, an eraser and a ball.
T: What else can you see
T: We can see shapes.(教师释义shapes)(CAI)
T: Today we’ll learn about shapes.
T: (showing a picture) Look, what’s this (教师手拿圆形图片)
T: It’s a circle.(教师重读单词circle)
b. 教师用升降调教读单词circle两遍,然后要学生大声朗读这个单词两遍。
c. T: Today we’ll learn “Unit 2 It’s a circle.”
教师一边板书课题,一边带读主题句。强调circle的发音。
d. 学生分组朗读主题句。
2.教学新单词: line (CAI)
a. T: (显示课件直线图片) Please look, what’s that Listen and look at my mouth carefully, it’s a line.
b. 教师带读单词, line- line (升降调)-a line-It’s a line.教师伸出手指演示直线。
板书It’s a line. 并贴好直线图片在新单词右边。要求学生在教师板书单词line时,用手指在空中书写单词l-i-n-e, line.
教师要求学生分两组就课件直线图片进行问答练习。
3. 教学新单词: square. (CAI)
a. (教师手拿正方形图片) Please look, Can you ask me (学生齐问:what’s this )
b. 教师回答并带读单词, square - square (升降调)- It’s a square. 教师用手指构成正方形。
c. 板书square. 并贴好正方形图片在新单词右边。要求学生在教师板书单词square时,用手指在空中书写单词s-q-u-a-r-e, square.
d. 教师要求学生以小组为单位,就手指构成的正方形进行chain式的问答练习。
4.新单词:dot. (CAI)
a. (显示课件圆点图片) Please look, what’s that Is that a square
b. 教师带读单词 dot - dot (升降调)- a dot -It’s a dot.
c. 板书dot. 并贴好圆点图片在新单词右边。要求学生在教师板书单词dot时,用手指在空中书写单词d-o-t, dot.
d. 教师要求学生分男孩和女孩就课件圆点图片进行问答练习。
【练习】Step 3 Practice
1. Let’s play a game: listen and show
a. T: Two of you come here to show the pictures of shapes when hear the order. The others look at the pictures and say out the shapes, clear
b. Praise the winners.
2. Play and say.
a. T: Look, this is wire. What’s this (教师演示电线为直线状态)
S: It’s a line.
T: And what’s this (教师演示电线为点状态)
S: It’s a dot.
b. T: Do you want to play Please take out your knitting wool and make your favourite shapes, then ask your partners about the shape.
c. Show and act.
【活动】Step 4Consolidation.
1. Look and guess.
a. T: You are so smart. Do you want to play another game Look, what shapes are they What shape is this (CAI)
e.g.
b. The children begin to say out the answers loudly.
c. Praise the smart children.
2. Find and say. (CAI)
a. T: We can see shapes here and there in our lives. Please find the shapes in our classroom.
b. Then the students talk about the things in the classroom with “What’s this/that It’s a…”.( 让学生们自己在教室里找形状)
3. Think and do. (CAI)
a. T: I’ll play a magic game for you. Look, what are they
S: They’re shapes.
T: Look carefully, one two three, what’s it
S: It’s a beautiful house.
T: Yes. Different shapes can make many beautiful pictures.不同的形状可以拼成许多漂亮的画。Do you want to try Ok, let’s do it in three minutes.
b. The students begin to make some beautiful pictures on the paper.
c. T: Group leaders, come here and show your pictures, please. Let’s share them.
The groups begin to introduce the pictures like this: It’s a pig.\ This is a circle. \There are three lines, and this is a square, it’s a house.\Look, it’s a flower.It’s beautiful….
【作业】Step 5 Homework.
a. T: Today we’ve learned: It’s a circle. It’s a line, it’s a dot, and it’s a square.
Today’s homework: 1)Take photos and describe the shapes.拿上相机拍一拍你看到的形状吧!2)Design pictures with different shapes.用不同的形状设计图片。
