教学目标
1. Be able to use the 7 words, eg. pet, pet and the sentences “Can I have
a ... ”、“Yes, you can. / No, you can't. But you can have a ,,, ” by playing the game.
2. Be able to understand the dialogue, then read and act it out with emotion.
3. Be able to have a further understanding the function of "can" (“可以”、“许可”) in different situations by arranging the sentences into a dialogue in groups.
4. Be able to learn how to ask for something politely and accept reasonable suggestions from
others.
学情分析
本单元是继Unit 3之后,进一步学习情态动词can 作“可以”、“许可”,表示征求意见、提建议的用法。本节课是第二课时,教学内容是围绕买pet的一段对话。
学生在第一课时通过学习B、C部分,掌握了单词pet, pet, kitten, rabbit, basket, cage, hold,初步了解了句型“Can I have a ... ”、“Yes, you can. / No, you can't. But you can have a ,,, ” 的功能与意念。这些话题与学生的生活紧密相关,学生感兴趣。短文中除flat, expensive,lovely是“二会”词以外,大部分句子应该都能听懂会说。
并且,这些学生学的是《新标准》的教材,因此,教学设计有必要根据学生的真实认知水平来以学定教。
重点难点
Be able to read the dialogue with emotion.
Be able to act out the dialogue and have a further understanding the function of "can" (“可以”、“许可”) in different situations.

1. Greetings and introduction.
Get the Ss to revise the words and sentences
by playing a magic game.
Write the sentence patterns on the Bb.

2. Watch, listen, say and read by joining the game.
设计意图
魔术是孩子们喜闻乐见的游戏。通过教师诙谐、幽默、逗乐,营造快乐的学习气氛,促使学生输出上节课所学的知识,为后面的新知学习做好铺垫。

Why
教师活动
1. Point out the target about this class, introducing Dongdong's idea.
2. Play the recording of the dialogue and get the Ss to answer two questions.
3. Play the DVD and get the Ss to check their answers.
4. Ask further
questions and get the Ss to read the dialogue, finding out the reasons and their difficulties.
5.Play the tape again and guide the Ss how to read with emotion.
学生活动
1. Look and listen.
2. Listen carefully and get the main information about the questions.
3. Watch, listen and answer.
4. Read the dialogue and find out the answers and mark their difficulties.
Repeat and try to read it well.
设计意图
通过带着问题初步听对话来获取主要信息,再通过视听途径再次感知对话,既促进学生对对话的理解,也提高了学生听的能力。
在视听的基础上,再默看课文,有利于促进学生对对话的深层理解,培养学生初步的阅读能力。同时,指导学生解决学习中的难点。
让学生在理解的基础上,有感情、大声朗读课文很重要,也是《课标》的要求。

设计意图
指导背诵、表演对话的策略有利于培养学生自主学习能力,有利于促进知识内化,有利于口头表达能力的提高。

T: Look at the pictures and make up new dialogues, and you can complete one of two, arranging the sentences on the pieces of paper.
学生活动
Each group has got one envelope which includes the pictures and pieces of paper with the sentences on.
Look, read and do.

设计意图
通过图片创设贴近学生生活的情境,让学生多了一些角色情感体验,通过再次合作学习,将所学知识进行了拓展运用,实现了高效学习,提高了语言综合运用能力。
【作业】Homework
1. Read and recite Part A further with emotion.
2. Make more than 3 sentences with "You can't ... , but you can ...", according to the suggestions from their parents, teachers and classmates.
小学生学习易记易忘。加强巩固记忆很有必要。
