1.with+n+doing,
With the sky turning dark gradually, Jane got lost in the forest.
说明 the sky。)
After a while she saw some zebra with black and white lines going beneath their stomachs.

2.With+n+done,

With all the things bought, she headed for home joyfully.
With her fingers cut, Joe burst into tears and her legs trembled.

He fired the spray at the wolf with one hand on the bars.
Upon arriving at the door of his home, he was surprised to discover that a little dog was watching him curiously with the expression of shock on its face.

第一种模式:with+one’s help
With Tom’s help, we completed the task ahead of time.
At last, Dad determined to break the pumpkin with the help of the sharp knife.
这句话中的 with the help of the sharp knife,即“在锋利的刀的帮助下”,就是“工具”的帮助。
Winter is coming.
It is time to buy warm clothes.
With winter coming, it is time to buy warm clothes.
这里的With winter coming就是属于比较典型的with+sth +doing结构。
She fell sleep with the light burning(灯亮着).
With all the things bought(东西买齐),they headed for the church.
为了表达这个原因,该句使用了 with复合结构 with all the things bought 作原因状语。
1、With tears welling up in my eyes,I rushed out of the flat and ran along the street.
2、He rushed to the room with his heart beating wildly and his face flushing.
3、With her eyes sparkling, she struggled to her feet and shouted,"Tm here!"
With pride and joy, she explained that these were specialty from Mexico.
伴随着喜悦:with delight/excitement/ pleasure/ happiness/joy
伴随着生气:with anger/rag
伴随着恐惧:with fear/terror
He turned to me, with his eyes full of horror.
On seeing Tom, Jane immediately hugged her husband, with his eyes full of pleasure
with+ its hungry red eyes它饥饿的红眼睛
with+ its sharp teeth它那锋利的牙齿
with+her shaky hand
with+her pale lips
The fierce wolf stared at Mac with its hungry red eyes. 此处用with its hungry red eyes来修饰动作stare,使狼凶狠的形象更加丰满。
She kissed Oliver with her pale lips.

As a nurse at the cancer care center where I’ve worked for seven years, I’ll do almost anything to make a patient feel better. But when I met Patty at the center, in 2011, she didn’t want my help.
She was a tiny 44-year-old single mom battling an aggressive head and neck cancer. Unlike many of our other patients, Patty was alone during her treatment, but no matter what I did. I couldn't get her to open up. She just buried herself in book or pulled a blanket over her head to fend off conversation.
Eventually I hit on a reliable way to make Patty smile: mentioning her nine-year-old son, Stephen. She'd tell me how well he did in school, how he'd been selected to read a poem he wrote at a local bookstore. She desperately wanted to live for him. With three kids myself, I totally understood how she felt.
After a year and a half of treatment, in August 2012, Patty was told her cancer had spread, and I learned she wouldn't live much longer. My first thought was, “What's going to happen to Stephen ”
Nurses at the center shared stories at their meetings about how bright and unusual the boy was. but no one seemed to know how to resolve the issue of what would happen to him when his mom died. My husband, Michael, who too works at the center, started hearing about Patty and Stephen.
One morning in October, Patty quietly slipped away. Michael and I picked Stephen up after school, drove him to a nearby park, and sat on a bench by a pond. I finally managed to say, “Stephen, we're sorry to have to tell you this, but your mom came to an end this morning.” The sound that came out of his mouth was like nothing I'd ever heard before. This skinny little guy sat between the two of us and just wailed (哀号) and wailed. It was as if his whole world was just destroyed.

Something inside me was telling me what to do. I wanted to help the poor boy. Although I had three children of my own and a modest family income, I decided to adopt the boy. I told my husband what I thought, and he immediately agreed, saying, "That's exactly what I wanted to tell you." I told the boy we would give him a home and take care of him for his mother. The boy nodded, crying.
Finally, we took him home with us. We introduced Stephen to our three children and told them that he would live with us in the future. My children happily accepted and warmly took Steven to visit his new home and discussed making room for Steven. I was glad that my children were so kind and willing to share everything with other children. Stephen soon integrated into our family and lived a happy life with us.

Last March, Margarito drove to visit his mother who lived in the countryside. When he set off for home, Margarito’s mother looked at the dark sky and noticed the sign of a coming storm. Worried about her son’s safety, she told him to drive as carefully as possible on his way home and he promised to give her a call upon his arrival.
With his mother’s words in mind, Margarito approached the main road carefully. Soon, it started to rain heavily. Eager to get home, Margarito began to drive faster. Two hours later, he came to a bumpy mountain road that had been flooded by a creek (小溪). Margarito, driving a four-wheel drive truck, figured that he would be OK. At that moment, he didn’t realize that such a thought would be a big mistake.
It was halfway across the creek that an unfortunate incident took place: The rushing waters grabbed hold of his vehicle, pushing it off the road and sending it down a rocky creek bed. The truck finally stopped some 80 feet away. Margarito’s problems only grew from there as the water had somehow positioned the truck into the creek bank at a 45-degree angle, making it difficult for him to open the driver’s side door. Injured and trapped inside with the muddy water rising quickly, Margarito was certain he was going to die. Shaking with fear, he was at a loss about what to do.
On the road right behind Margarito were a delivery worker named Steve and his nephew Mike, who were on the way to deliver furniture to customers in the countryside. They witnessed the horrible incident, and when Margarito’s truck came to rest in the middle of the overflowing creek, Steve quickly began to take action. First, he grabbed a rope from the back of his vehicle and used it to ensure he could safely approach the truck.

Next, he turned to Mike and yelled, “Give me a rock!” With the rock, he hit the window over and over but had little success. Steve then shouted to Margarito to move away from the window. He balanced himself on the truck, leaned back and threw the rock at the window. Finally, the glass broke and Steve kicked in the remaining pieces of glass. Relieved, Margarito reached out for Steve’s hand and was rescued. The two men escaped and returned to safety.
Margarito was about to thank Steve and Mike when the mobile phone in his jacket pocket rang. With trembling hands, Margarito took out the phone and pressed it to his ear. His mother’s anxious voice came over the phone, “Are you home yet Everything’s good ” Tears welled up in his eyes at the familiar sound of concern. Margarito choked up as he explained the accident to his mom and comforted her. Hanging up the phone, he turned to Steve and Mike and sincerely thanked both of them. Cold as the rain was, great warmth filled his heart like never before.

For weeks, the troop had been busy preparing for its Parents’ Night program. Everything was in order. The walls were filled with displays, the scouts (童子军) were all enthusiastic. The tables were covered with good things to eat.
Now it was time for Jimmie Davis to give his speech. This was the moment he had been looking forward to for several weeks. As he arose, he caught a glimpse of his mother’s bright face and his father's calm, confident expression. Jimmie held his head high as he started his speech, his words bursting with pride and enthusiasm. He made sure the speech was lively and moving, conscious that his listeners were showing high praise to him by their careful attention.
Then something happened. The world seemed to move slowly from side to side before him. He felt his mind went blank and forgot what to say next. He slowed down, faltered (结巴), and finally stopped. His face turned red, and his hands sought each other wildly. In desperation, he looked toward his scout leader, begging for his help.
Having heard that boyish but great speech practiced again and again, the boy’s scout leader supplied the missing words that allowed Jimmie to continue. But somehow it was different now. The wonderful speech had been messed up.
Jimmie paused again, and once again the scout leader helped him. For the remaining two minutes, the speech seemed more like the scout leader’s than Jimmie’s.
After what seemed like ages, the speech was finally over. In the heart of Jimmie, who sat down knowing that he had failed, there was a great weight pressing down on him. Disappointment was clearly written on the face of his mother. A twitch (抽搐) of the father's face showed how painful he felt.
The audience applauded in a perfunctory (敷衍的) way, feeling sorry for the boy who they thought had failed.
But the scout leader was on his feet. His eyes twinkled. All the audience listened carefully.

The calm, sure voice of the scout leader echoed (回响) around the hall. “You have seen a boy make a glorious victory out of what might have been a miserable failure. Jimmie had his chance to quit. To have quit would have been easy, but he didn’t. He did deserve our true respect.” Hearing the inspiring words and looking into his leader’s encouraging eyes, Jimmie felt that he had to do something. Gathering up all his courage, he finally felt himself, arose again and walked onto the stage slowly and firmly.
Jimmie began to speak in a trembling but firm voice. “To be honest, I couldn’t have made it without my leader. I thought about giving up, but it was his encouragement that reminded me of the spirit of our troop, that is, to play the game even under difficulties!” Jimmie looked toward his leader with his eyes glittering with tears. The leader went up to him and threw his arms around him. At this moment, his parents overwhelmingly proud of their son, the entire hall thundered their applause at the little boy.

1.with+n+doing,
With the sky turning dark gradually, Jane got lost in the forest.
