Part 1
I had an interesting childhood. It was filled with surprise and amusements, all because of my mother--loving, sweet, yet absent-minded and forgetful.
Despite mom's being absent-minded and forgetful, she was still a kind and nice mom.
It was summer and my dad wanted to treat me to a vacation like never before. He decided to take me on a trip to the Wild West.
Never had I had such a thrilling yet dangerous vacation before. The special trip to the Wild West was deeply engraved in my mind.
A funny thing happened to Arthur when he was on the way to work one day.
What a funny day. Arthur couldn't stop laughing whenever he looked back on this hilarious experience.
1:Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.
2:It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.
3:Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.
4:In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
It is your biggest weakness that makes you win the match. As a proverb says, ‘Every coin has two sides.’
Making full use of your strength is your achievement. Please remember that in no case will you give up especially in trouble. God is fair to everyone.”
Everyone has one person they look up to as a role model. To me there is none other than my mom.
She has beauty, brains, and one of the best hearts I know.
Without her in my life, I would have no idea whether I can be a famous dancer. Someday, when I am older and have children of my own, I hope I can be just as great a parent as my mom.
I am extremely unhappy about it. I think money doesn’t equal happiness.
And free life style also doesn’t equal happiness.
The real happiness is that everyone loves each other, and does everything useful for our society. Most of my classmates support me.
But some of them think money is everything. In my opinion, money can’t take the place of everything, such as your life, your time and your happiness.
Seeing sth , I felt as if it had been doing and saying,”........”
Seeing the alphabet again, I felt as if it had been encouraging me and saying, ” it’s never too late to learn”.
Seeing the javelin, I felt as if it had been encouraging me and saying, “You’ve found your talent and I’ve found you”看到标枪,我觉得它好像在鼓励我,并说,“你找到了你的天赋,我找到了你”。
Seeing the helicopter, Jane felt as if it had been comforting her with its thunderous voice, “Your waiting pays off.”
Seeing the suitcase, Arthur felt as if it had been praising him , “Your did great job!”
Seeing the tent, I felt as it had been sighing and saying, “I want to experience the outside world.
Part 2
这个句型就是:from then on +行动。
From then on, I would try my best to help sb like sb.Only in this way, could more and more people help each other in the future.
From then on, Bernard made up his mind to help someone who needs help . Only in this way, could more and more people help each other in the future.
From then on, I placed a jack and some common tools in my car. When meeting people in need on the road ,I would try my best to help them like the family.Only in this way, could more and more people help each other in the future.
sb looked at sth / held sth, tears rolling down without control. It is love that makes the world go around, which sb felt deep in one’s heart.
It is love that makes the world go around(正是“爱”让世界转动),还有一个定语从句:which sb felt deep in one’s heart.
I held the paper bag tightly, tears rolling down without control. It is love that makes the world go around, which I felt deep in my heart.
He held the coins tightly, tears rolling down without control. It is love that makes the world go around, which Bernard felt deep in his little heart.
It dawned on me that a moment of kindness could mean so much to another, and that a simple act could make the world so much better.
Whether rich or poor, we should be happy to do something for society. Thus we can learn that giving is the source of happiness.
Sometimes, a small act of kindness may be powerful enough to make a huge difference.
Part 3
It's never too late to learn. Each individual has the right to accept more challenges and make more attempts.
make more attempts 做更多尝试。
Actually, every individual possesses talent. Be brave when you find it and also make efforts. You can create miracles in the end.
It's never too late to go for your dream. As long as you grasp every opportunity and take full advantage of it, you will stand a chance to realize your dreams.
As long as we dare to dream and don't let difficulties get in our way, anything is possible.
【分析】take full advantage of 充分利用, realize your dreams表示“实现梦想”
The journey to success is not smooth. It is full of challenges and difficulties. We should be brave to face them. As long as we don’t give up hope and make every effort to overcome all the difficulties, we will surely achieve our goal (success) finally.
【分析】smooth 表示“平坦的”overcome all the difficulties 表示“克服困难”;make every effort 表示“做出努力”;as long as,表示“只要”,引导条件状语从句。
Determination and optimism are what it takes to conquer your fear and accomplish your goal.
conquer your fear表示“克服你的恐惧”;accomplish your goal表示“完成目标”
I smiled as I eventually realized the real source of confidence. Now, I am proud of what I look like and much happier, because I have realized it is your personality that decides who you truly are.
Attitude is more important than facts for us. We cannot change our past; we cannot change the fact. However, the only thing we can do is hold a positive attitude.
Part 4
That day was so unforgettable that it would stay in my memory forever.
Only then did I realize that it was bravery that can conquer whatever difficulty came in the way.
It was this unique experience that made me understand whatever difficulty we are faced with (= we may face), we mustn’t give up our hope.
Finally, we did sth. What an unforgettable experience! It turns out that there’s always a way out of any plight as long as we stay calm.
Finally, we went out of the forest that trapped us. What an unforgettable experience! It turns out that there’s always a way out of any plight as long as we stay calm.
Finally, we arrived home safely just in time for supper(我们安全回家,正好赶上吃晚饭),也就是说,不管怎么写,第一句是脱险后的结果。
Finally, she saw her husband. As tightly as possible, she hugged him and was too thrilled to say anything. What an unforgettable experience! It turns out that there’s always a way out of any plight as long as we never give up our hope.
Finally, the wolf ran away off the road and disappeared in the distance .“We are safe!”Mac said in a pleasant tone. What an unforgettable experience! It turns out that there’s always a way out of any plight as long as we stay calm.
Part 5
It took place in a teacher’s family. One day, Ben was playing basketball in the living room after school, when he accidentally threw the ball at a vase sitting on the shelf. The vase dropped to the floor and a large piece broke off. What made Ben more upset was that the vase was not a common decoration but an antique, which was handed down through generations from the 18th century. It was also his mother’s favorite possession. To cover his terrible action, the terrified boy glued the pieces together quickly and put the vase back to its place.
As the mother herself dusted the vase every day, she naturally noticed the cracks that evening. To her surprise, the repair work was actually very good. At dinner time, she asked her boy if he broke the vase. Fearing punishment, the suddenly inspired boy said that a neighbor’s cat jumped in from the window and he couldn’t drive it away no matter how hard he tried. It raced round the living room and finally knocked the vase off its shelf. His mother was quite clear that her son was lying, for all the windows were closed before she left for work each morning and opened after she returned. However, in the face of her son’s nervous eyes and the suspicious looks of the other family members, Ben’s mother remained calm. She realized she shouldn’t just simply blame and punish her son for lying. She came up with another idea.
Before going to bed, the boy found a note from his mother in his room, asking him to go to the study at once. The boy thought he would now be punished, but as he had already lied, he was determined to deny everything to the end, no matter how angry his mum became.
In the study, calmly bathed in the light, his mother’s face showed no sign of anger. On seeing her son push open the door and cautiously enter, she took a chocolate box out of a drawer and gave him one.
注意:
1. 续写的词数应为150左右;

I’m from the fishing town of Kinsale, in Ireland. Life is pretty good there, but Dubai caught my attention when I was 18. I moved there myself 10 years ago as a 30-year-old film-maker. It’s been a wild ride, full of chaos and wonder.
My wife, Christine, lives here with me; when her sister Angela came to visit in April this year, the three of us set off in my pickup truck. It was a cloudless day, touching 40 ℃. The heat and humidity were violent, so we had to sightsee from the car.
We took the scenic route between Dubai and Ras al-Khaimah, a charming city in the north. A year earlier, while off-roading with a friend, I got stuck at a water crossing there, at the only inlet on the coast, where the sea flows into a swampy lagoon (咸水湖). I had to be rescued, and learned how quickly the tide (潮水) could come in.
Christine spotted what looked like the Loch Ness monster stuck in the sand. We decided to investigate and drove up to where the sand met the lagoon. It was a camel, not moving.
Since relocating here, I have always kept a shovel, rope, torches and knives in my car—getting stuck in the desert can be debilitating
I got out my shovel and approached the camel. It was a female; we nicknamed her Stucky. It looked as if she had been trapped for hours—she was in quite deep. I’ve been around camels a lot in Dubai; they are massive. They can be friendly, but they can also be fierce. I approached Stucky slowly and started to gently dig away the sand around her. I kept patting her. I knew if she swung her head around quickly, she could injure herself, or me.
注意:
1.续写词数应为150左右;
Paragraph 1:
Christine filmed my rescue attempt and posted photos on social media.

Paragraph 2:
Luckily, at that point, a pickup arrived carrying 7 guys with all sorts of apparatus(装备).

I met the Man of the Trees in summer ten years ago, when I was visiting Uncle Jita.
Those were difficult times.People were cutting down our forest, and there was often flooding. Sometimes our water supply was dirty. When our pump(水泵)did have clean water, we had to wait in line for ages. When the pump wasn't working,we had to walk five kilometres to the closest stream.
But I was happy. I was going to see my favorite uncle. When the day finally arrived, dad drove me to Uncle Jita's house and left.Once he saw me, Uncle Jita announced, "Tomorrow we're going to explore a magical place. Here is my camera,Amy.You can take photos of what you see."
The following day, we woke up and left early on a boat. The trip was exciting. But when we got off, there was...nothing in front of us."I don't want to take pictures of this,"I complained.
Uncle laughed,"Start walking,Amy.I promise you'll be surprised."After some time,I could see the outline of a forest in the distance. A little closer, there was a man waving to us.
"That's Kabir. The forest you see is his. He planted every single tree."As we walked towards Kabir, Uncle explained that thirty years ago, the whole area was a wasteland. But one day Kabir decided to change all that and started planting trees. Thanks to him, part of the wasteland is now a paradise(天堂).
Uncle introduced me to Kabir, who had gray hair and a determined face.“Jita told me you like animals. Are you ready to see some "he asked."Of course!"I replied. We continued walking and soon were under the trees. I turned my head and was amazed at the difference between the two places. All because of the efforts of one man.
Like Uncle said,Kabir's forest was magical. We saw deer, rhinos, and even tigers.During lunchtime,Kabir explained how,by planting trees,it was possible to stop the land from eroding(侵蚀).
注意:
1.续写词数应为150左右;

Part 6
I need to do something in my community(社区)in order to complete the community service hours required to graduate from high school. Some of my friends had signed up to spend time at a soup kitchen, so I did, too. It seemed like a good thing to do.
I thought that we would just be passing our dinners to those in need, but I found out we would be doing everything from preparing to serving the dinner. We began preparing the food, from mixing salad dressing to separating frozen meat. Much still needed to be done before dinner was served, but already outside the building many homeless people were gathering. It wasn’t until a couple of hours later that we opened the doors and began serving dinner.
As the line of people came toward me, I got a little scared. I’d come face to face with the homeless: How should I act How would they treat me Would they hate me for having more than they did While some of the people looked very friendly, some of them looked so dangerous, I didn’t have too much time to worry about it. I was assigned (分配)to serve the salad with the lady next to me. She smiled at me and said if I needed help, she’d be right there, which I found quite comforting.
I had never seen so many people wanting food. They were of all ages and nationalities. Most of them wore clothes that were torn and dirty. Some looked like they had totally given up on life, while others seemed to be making the best of the situation, smiling and joking. Some were better off than others, but they all needed a good meal and a warm place to eat. It saddened me to think of how many people there were who didn’t have a place to call home and the only food they got came from a soup kitchen.
Paragraph 1:
As they came in my direction, I put on my brightest and happiest smile.

Paragraph 2:
I was so happy that I had earned my service hours in this way.

注意:
1. 续写的词数应为150左右;
The mother said, “This chocolate is a reward for your imagination: a window-opening cat!”________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Now with some chocolates in hand, a sense of guilt welled up inside the boy. ____ ______
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【One possible version:】
The mother said, “This chocolate is a reward for your imagination: a window-opening cat !” Hearing her sincere appreciation, Ben’s face became red, lowered his head and said a thank-you in a low voice. Surprisingly, the mother took out another chocolate and pressed it into his hand. “This one is for the delicate repair work you did to the broken vase.” She also added that she was moved by how much the boy cherished the family possessions. At these remarks, Ben felt much ashamed, and had to duck his head even lower. The mother then calmly encouraged Ben to reward himself more chocolates for any other merits he had displayed in this event.
Now with some chocolates in hand, a sense of guilt welled up inside the boy. After what seemed a long time, he looked up at his mother and admitted that it was not the cat but he that had broken the vase accidentally. He then asked for punishment. “I’m sorry I lied to you, mum. Please take back the chocolate.” Feeling so ashamed, Ben couldn’t hold back his tears. He opened his palm wide, ready to return the chocolates. To his surprise, however, his mother placed the whole bag of chocolate in his hand, smiling. “Honesty deserves the best reward, my dear.”
行为类 ①珍惜:cherish/treasure ②鼓励:encourage/inspire ③归还:return /give back

Christine filmed my rescue attempt and posted photos on social media. Angela gave Stucky water. I focused on digging out her back legs. When I tried to wipe the sweat from my eyes, I would get sand in them. An hour later, we still weren't making much progress—whenever we nearly freed a leg, which took about 20 minutes, she would get sucked back into the sand. And the more she struggled to get free, the more stuck she became. We were worried it would get dark and the tide would come in.
Luckily, at that point, a pickup arrived carrying 7 guys with all sorts of apparatus (装备). Someone saw posted photos of the camel rescue on social media. Word then quickly spread to the small farms a few kilometres away. They joined in and worked super-hard. Everyone was working on all four of the camel's legs at the same time, using different techniques. When we finally got her out, Stucky's legs were effectively dead. The the guys massaged her legs to get the blood flowing. It took about 20 minutes for her to stand. Then she turned, stretched and gave us a wink goodbye.

Hearing this, I turned to my uncle,"I think we can plant trees too."Grabbing the camera in my hand, I added with excitement.“I've got a plan! I'll show them the photos of Kabir's magical forest!"Seeing Uncle and Kabir's encouraging smile,I immediately set down to my work, busily pressing my shutter and capturing the amazing scenes in the forest. When Uncle and I went back to the village several days later and showed these wonderful pictures to my neighbour, they were stunned by the beauty of the forest."It was the trees that turned the place into a paradise!"We then explained our tree-planting plan to the villagers, which was quickly accepted by all of them.
In the years that followed, people in our village worked hard to try out our plan.Instead of cutting down our forest,we started to plant trees, which has eventually helped protect the soil and stopped the land from eroding. Thanks to the trees, the water has been purified and we finally have clean and stable water supply. With our joint efforts, our village is now surrounded by small thriving forests with blooming flowers, lively animals and crystal-clear streams running through. Witnessing the gradual change of our village, we came to realize that only when we live in harmony with nature can we have a brighter future.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Paragraph 2:
I was so happy that I had earned my service hours in this way.

As they came in my direction, I put on my brightest and happiest smile. Nervous as I felt, I did my utmost to keep myself calm and hand out the delicately-wrapped meal to those in need, with my hands trembling. Upon seeing it, every one of them beamed with smile, gently murmured “Thank you” and bowed to me sincerely, which brought warmth straight into my heart. The passing time witnessed the smooth process of this event. It was not until the night wiped out the last ray of sun that we finished our community service hours.
I was so happy that I had earned my service hours in this way. Not only did I clear my previous prejudice against those who seemed to be dangerous and unamiable, but also I extended a helping hand to those who wanted food. I suddenly came to realize that not everyone was blessed with fortune and born to be wealthy, therefore, we should always keep grateful for what life blessed us with. However, we did have the power to share our happiness with others, that is, spreading love. Love is everything, like the clear moon hanging high in the sky, spreading its mild moonlight selflessly to everyone.
