冠词是甘肃各地市每年中考单项选择的必考点, 角度涉及不定冠词、定冠词和零冠词的用法, 以及它们在固定搭配中的应用。
◆不定冠词的用法
用法 例句
用于第一次提到的人或物的名称前。 This is a useful book.这是一本有用的书。
用法 例句
泛指一类人或事物, 以区别于其他种类。 A plane is a machine that can fly.飞机是一种能飞的机器。
泛指某人或某物。（1次）用于表示时间、速度、价格等意义的名词前, 表示“每一”。 A young man is waiting for you.一位年轻人正在等你。We go swimming three times a month.我们每月去游泳三次。
用法 例句
用在序数词前表示“又一, 再一”。 The cake is delicious, and I’d like a second one.这个蛋糕很美味, 我想再要一个。
用在what, such, half, many, quite等词之后。（1次） What a heavy rain!好大的一场雨啊!
He left in such a hurry that he forgot to close the door.他离开得如此匆忙以至于忘了关门。
不定冠词a与an的区别
1.a用在以辅音音素开头的单词前。如：
He told me a very funny story.他给我讲了一个很搞笑的故亊。
2.an用在以元音音素开头的单词前。如：
She is an excellent student.她是一位优秀的学生。
3.下表是常见的以元音字母开头的单词用a/an的各种情况:

用在双方都知道的人或事物前。（2次） Give me the pen, please!请把那支钢笔给我！
特指上文已提过的人或事物。（2次） My mother bought me a book.The book was very interesting.我妈妈给我买了一本书, 这本书很有趣。
用在世界上独一无二的事物前。 The earth moves around the sun.地球绕着太阳转。
◆定冠词的用法（5年7考）
用法 例句
用在序数词前和形容词的最高级前（副词最高级前可以省略)。 The second girl is the shortest, but she runs (the) fastest of all.虽然第二个女生在所有人中最矮, 但她跑得最快。（句中fast是副词)
用于形容词前表示一类人或事物。 The young should be polite to the old.年轻人应该对老人有礼貌。
用法 例句
用于姓氏复数前表示一家人或夫妻。 The Whites are going to have a picnic tomorrow.怀特夫妇明天要去野餐。
用在表示方位的名词前。 Xinjiang lies in the west of China.
新疆位于中国西部。
用在与play连用的西洋乐器名称前。（2次） He plays the piano very well.
