名词变复数形式的规律：
1. 大多数名词，在词尾直接加“-s”。
2. 以-s、-sh、-ch、-x等结尾的名词加“-es”。
3. 以辅音字母加-y结尾的名词，变字母y为i加“-es”；以元音字母如-y结尾的名词，词尾直接加“-s”。
4. 以-o结尾的名词变复数时, potato/tomato/hero/negro加“-es”,其余加“-s”。
5. 以-f或-fe结尾的名词变复数时：
a)加“-s”的名词有 belief→beliefs、roof→roofs、safe→safes、gulf→gulfs 等。
b)去掉“-f” “-fe”加“-ves”的名词有 half→halves、knife→knives、leaf→leaves, wolf→wolves、wife→ wives 、life→ lives、thief→ thieves 等。
