I was cycling and saw a person about 250 metres ahead of me. I could ell he was cycling a little slower than me and I decided to try to catch up with him. I had about a kilometre to go on the road before turning off.
I started cycling faster arrd faster and with every block, I got just a little bit closer to him. After a few minutes I was only about 100 metres behind aim, so I really picked up the pace and tried my best.
Finally, I caught up with him and passed him. On the inside, I felt so good. I "beat him", but he didn't even know we were racing.
After I passed him, I found that I missed my turn, and had to turn around and go all the way back.
Isn't that what happens in life when we race with others, trying to outdo them or trying to show that we are more successful We spend our time and energy running after them and we miss out on our own paths.
The problem with unhealthy competition is that it's a never-ending cycle. There will always be somebody ahead of you in one way or another. What you should do is just run your own race and wish others well.
Wherever you go, no matter what the weather is like, always bring your own sunshine.

First, I used to spend most of my time playing computer games. Now I find it interesting to do some reading because good books help me relax after a busy day.
Second, I always dropped litter carelessly in the park. But now I have realized the importance of protecting the environment. I always throw the litter into the rubbish bins.
Third, I sometimes shouted loudly or pushed in before others in public places. Now I can behave politely in public and I often give my seat to someone in need on the bus.
